After landing on the planet, the crew discovers that the signal is actually a warning. A warning to abandon the planet, but it is too late to turn back and the terror begins when they first encounter an alien during their investigation. Defend the allied planet against the alien raid this is the mission! Far from the reaches of your solar system, you are alone on an assignment to battle the alien horde. As a member of the allied forces, everyone is relying on you. Most of your allied forces have been destroyed, and this will be your most difficult mission yet. It's up to you to defend the planet. In this first-person view arcade shoot'em-up, you must gather up all your courage to defend yourself and defeat the enemy, the aliens. Adrenaline Vault
Contrary to what many hardcore gamers frequently assume, I believe there are still a lot of people who would enjoy this kind of brain-free, white-knuckle virtual leisure activity that brings back the simplicity of earlier days.

Aliens Blast: The Encounter never makes any pretense toward being anything other than it is, a simple straightforward shoot em up extravaganza, and depending upon whether or not this is your cup of tea will be the major factor in your purchase decision.

Youre stuck in your gun turret, firing off your weapons to an endless amount of aliens, and thats it! There isnt anything else to do in the game, but blow up aliens in your turret.

As a $20 retail product, it's a slap in the face. Games like this one make a mockery of Darwin's theories. [May 2004, p.69]
IGN
If you are one of those anti-social types with no Internet connection (and somehow read this review!) and are still trudging along with, say, a Pentium II, then this might be your ticket. In other words, the market has moved beyond this kind of game.

If you're anything like me, you won't be able to play it for any length of time unless you've got something on your mind that you're concentrating on that is far removed from the game. It's perfect for zoning out.
GameSpot
Across every category, Alien Blast defines itself as the very epitome of boredom. The action is dull, repetitive, and in some cases, a bit broken. The game's graphics are pretty much a sad, underdeveloped joke.

Finding [four] people who would sit still for a single session of Alien Blast would serve as a remarkable testament to the power of sedatives. [June 2004, p.80]
Deeko
A repetitious, non-descript shooter that is has almost no entertainment value whatsoever. Dont be fooled by the fact that they bill it as an "arcade" experience, because it is far from exciting and offers gamers little value in terms of overall gameplay.

While it's slightly fun for maybe ten minutes, the boring gameplay, "pop-up" problems, and lack of variety in levels, AI, or weapons make Alien Blast one of those games that you can laugh about how bad it is.
