Summary
Crowds of blood-thirsty monsters, crawling from every corner of the secret research base. Gloomy basements and modern labs, darkness changing into blazing bulbs. The only usual thing is: you're in a bad place alone, and there's no one to help you! We have here an improved version of a cult 2003 game which won hearts of the huge army of players worldwide. Complete game missions, earning more and more cash for weapons and inventory, use stationary weapons in the hottest places, eliminate monster spawning places with dynamite and increase your firepower with implants and drones. IGN
It expands on the number of characters and tosses in a massive number of enemies along with some player upgrades and gear to round out the entire experience. However, the lack of co-op when facing hundred to one odds, limited visuals and prevention of carrying stats from one campaign to another help to make this game a fun, albeit imperfect nod to the action games of the past.

Adam R. gave it a7:
Like reading a book from an authors early work, that they have gone back and edited. Buy one of the later games first, and see what you think. If you find yourself very curious about the roots of the game, try this. It pushes all the same buttons as the later installments, but there is essentially no reason to not play AS: Vengence instead, unless you have already played it.
