Summary
On the verge of a long-awaited peace between the Green and the Tan, rogue elements of the Tan Army draw Sarge and his men out into combat. Over the years, the series has shown its flashes of playability, but Sarge's War isn't one of them. This game never shows anything above the most minimal of efforts, and even then, it seems as though you're being entertained as if by accident.

Had the absurdity of the setting been more efficiently exploited for humor value, the many shortcomings might be more easily overlooked. As it stands, this title comes across as a last minute, off-the-cuff port from consoles to PC that skimped as often as possible.

The basic message here friends is you don't want this game. Not unless want to discover a new way to suffer. And if you play enough, I'll bet you'll even want to slit your own throat. I almost did. But the knife, thematic apropos, was plastic. Sob.

But this is gaming at its most depressing - it's clear to man and beast that the controls of this game simply do not work and are no fun whatsoever. Why don't you just fix it? Or, perhaps, you could just STOP MAKING ARMY MEN GAMES.

It's hideous. The graphics are atrocious, the controls are ridiculous, and missions consist of running around the blocky levels, firing wildly until random chance results in you killing everybody. [Oct 2004, p.100]

If you liked army men you will hate this game very poor action game the only difference is that the other soldiers are toys... not fun at all ...too bad .... it's playable but just not fun ..
