Just Adventure
A triumph. It’s at the same time a real 3D game and a crackerjack pure adventure. High levels of craftsmanship and designer TLC are evident throughout the game. Playing it is like falling into an exciting movie thriller. [Grade = A+]

Have you ever played a game that's so good that the simple knowledge of its existence is enough to put a smile on your face? This is one of those games. Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon is a shining example of what this genre is capable of, and it comes as close to perfection as any recent adventure game has.

With great dialogue, beautiful art direction, and generally high-quality puzzles, it's worthwhile to indulge the designers' crate fetish just to see what comes next.

A fairytale comeback. Extravagance was one of the signatures of the graphic adventure: extravagance to bring them in, and a cracking story well told to keep them. Both tenets of the Broken Sword series remain intact here, and that's all the devoted fans could have wanted. [Christmas 2003, p.94]

The best adventure game ever. Diehard 2D fans will hate us for saying this, but that they can’t let go of Beneath a Steel Sky is a matter for the shrink.

The graphics are first rate, the dialogue was tight and witty, and most importantly, the story is fantastic and the game plays out like a well written book.

Cartoonish graphics, incredible voice acting and an engrossing story all make this a game to look at, that is - if you can get past the horrible interface and somewhat repetitive block puzzles.

A great adventure game, despite having a few technical problems and being a little too easy. There's really no excuse for the sound problem, and that is why I didn't rate this game higher.

Despite the bumps and jolts I still had a lot of fun with Broken Sword 3 and this attests to the mesmerising quality and drawing-power of the game, and confirms Revolution as master storytellers when it comes to Ripping Yarns.

George’s finely crafted witticisms and Nico’s finely crafted, er, investigative skills make the game a pleasure to play; moreover, the plot is engrossing and really pushes you to keep gaming in an effort to uncover more of the nefarious scheme being perpetrated.

Four Fat Chicks
Is this the future of adventure games? If the development community uses this as a launching pad, and what we see here is just the infancy of incorporating interactivity into cutscenes, then we could be witnessing the birth of something truly extraordinary.

An outstanding adventure game. The story is engrossing and authentic. While quite linear, it is very well told, and it almost feels like you are watching a movie where you play the lead role.

Needless to say, this type of gameplay is hardly challenging, thought provoking, or enjoyable, for most serious gamers. However, what Broken Sword does do is very polished and offers a slick level of gameplay for the occasional gamer used to solitaire and minesweeper.

The PC controls are so awkward that even when you know what to do and where to go, you find that you really need 360-degree character rotation to avoid staggering drunkenly into certain death. [Mar 2004, p.81]

games(TM)
Many of the puzzles are somewhat straightforward in design, and while ensuring players are less likely to hit those infuriating brick walls typically found in the genre's great titles, your input into the proceedings once again tends to feel slightly shallow and less rewarding than before. Gert K. gave it a10:
Well done to the developers for keeping the Broken Sword series alive and well. It's an excellent game - one I enjoyed just as much as the previous Broken Sword titles, despite the transition to 3D. Looking forward to a sequel.

Andrew M. gave it a10:
Absolutely brilliant. I love all three BS games but this is simply the icing - and it's bloody sweet at that! It's all been said above, but just to repeat a couple of points: the graphics in this game are as attractive, breathtaking and intimate as any I've seen; the voice acting is as good as I've heard; and the story as interesting and immersing as the genre allows. Bottom line: the perfect adventure game. Please please please, Revolution, can we have more (just like this) of the wonderful adventure that is George and Nico's lives.

Ben C. from Birmingham, UK gave it an 8:
If you liked Broken Sword 1, and like me, thought BS2 was a bit lacking, fear not - this game has some of the great atmosphere and dialog of the first (and best IMHO) game. The transition for 2D to 3D works better than I imagined - the graphics really are lush! If you are after a story driven, rather than puzzle driven adventure game, this is a must, whether or not you have played either of the two provious games. Not as good as the first, but definitely better than the second Broken Sword. A worthy sequel.

Amjad Z. gave it a 10:
she's an exellent game, especialy th sound,he took a part from the entire game.

Canio gave it an 8:
Only two bad points, too short and an ending that doesnt suit well for me at least, though its still an excellent game overall, expecially the voice acting part. Its a game that every adventure gamers has to behold. A must!

Adventurer gave it a 10:
Althought there's some flaws it's a wonderful game. I'm glad that adventure games aren't dead! Thanks Revolution for an another great game!

Lee W. gave it a 10:
Rebirth of a genre!!!!!
