Summary
Bully: Scholarship Edition takes place in the fictional New England boarding school of Bullworth Academy and tells the story of 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins as he experiences the highs and lows of adjusting to a new school. Capturing the hilarity and awkwardness of adolescence perfectly, Bully: Scholarship Edition pulls the player into its cinematic and engrossing world. [Rockstar Games]

Welcome to Bullworth Academy, a melting pot of high school stereotypes. Outsiders are making plans to rule the world, teachers terrorize their pupils, sports aces and rock 'n rollers try to impress the girls while the posh students wrinkle their nose. While the GTA-style game itself is well done, the technical conversion to the PC is a bit sloppy. Should you ever be asked why video games are a cultural asset, show them Bully.

This game isn’t just for gamers who were (or still are) playing truant – it’s an all-round enjoyable romp through satirical American high school-life, barring the many errors in portation from console to PC. [Issue#17]
Play (Poland)
While Rockstar keep adding features to their GTA clones, the team decided to cut back on key elements, put the action into the surprising high school setting and created an immensely playable game. [Dec 2008]
PC Zone UK
Undeniably a fantastic sandbox game. [Jan 2009, p.70]
PC Gamer UK
A great game, badly ported. [Christmas 2008, p.88]
IGN
Uninspired classroom minigames and PC-specific porting and performance problems continue to frustrate our experience with the game, but never so much that we weren't willing to load it back up again to uncover the next chapter of the story.

Bully offers a wide and open world in which you can roam freely. Ad some freaky characters and a one of a kind feel and you'll get bully. Too bad the game lost some of its powers over the last two years and that the overal look and gameplay of Bully feels a little outdated. If you've never played Bully you'll probably will have a blast, otherwise it's best to save some of that money for one of the other hundred or so titles that will be released this winter.

There's nothing new to see here and given the effort that Rockstar seems to have put into this title it seems that it knows it.

Despite the negative campaign, Bully is an entertaining game even with all its school clichés. If you are tired of grown-up violence in GTA why not try some brute force on “grounds of education”. [Dec 2008]
1UP
Bully's biggest problem is that it's a shoddy port job, rife with technical missteps that wouldn't warrant comment if they weren't so profoundly damaging to the game.

Kamil P. gave it a9:
It is a wonderfull game from masters of GTA style games. It has bad controls but they are easy to redifine.
Raymond F. gave it a0:
Utter garbage. Glitches a lot, and freezes near the start on a loading screen. It isn't my system, people on the Steam forums have the same issue. This has to be the most incompetent pc port of the year. How this ever got past QA in the form it shipped in is a mystery. I hope GTA4 is a lot better on pc then this disaster. Plus the textures look extremely poor on some parts,(at least the part I was able to play) very blurry and washed out. they didn't spend enough time improving the pc port.
