IGN
In terms of scope and comprehensiveness, it has no equal in the world of business simulations, and in fact the only things it really fails to address in a business sense are non-market factors, like lawsuits, building permits, bribing politicians, unions, and all that good stuff -- but give them time.

All of these options might lead you to think that the learning curve is steep and slippery. It would be, were it not for the slick interactive tutorials.

ActionTrip
Everything is very logical and intuitive, and the developers chose the right way to gradually introduce you to more and more complex features off the game.

The game requires quite some effort to learn, but once competition picks up against the aggressive AI, Capitalism II shows its colors as a great strategy game. Also, as if to help your own bottom line, the game's a real bargain at $20.

Hands down the best overall simulation of real-world business economy around.

PC Gamer
The most exciting new feature for many Capitalism II players is its multiplayer game. [Apr 2002, p.80]

Gamer's Pulse
The only problems were with the interfaces, which get confusing and messy, kind of like my desk, so I guess that is a little too realistic.

If you have any inclination to explore the inner workings of business, Capitalism II has a lot to offer. [May 2002, p.86]

Yahoo! Games
It's not one you can pick up and play for five minutes at a time or without reading the manual, but is extremely involving once you get into it.

The good is very good, yet the not-so-good list is long and much detailed. What’s a gamer to do?

Ben D. gave it a10:
Needs no sequel. By far the best game I'ver ever played. If a sequel came out, I would buy a thousand copies and give them out for free to people in my community. Just the best game ever. I would only change one thing - there is no inflation rate. Make the inflation rate equal the money supply and have consumer prices lag like in the real world. Thank you so much Trevor. I could play this game for two days straight at a time.

Tom X gave it a9:
It's a good game but it's somewhat lacing in the managment area, like wouldn't it be greate if you could hire managers and give them a very specific area to work with.

Len gave it a9:
An excellent sim. They thought of everything.

Manuel O. gave it a 9:
Very Good!! But, it can be better.

Robin gave it a 10:
I like this game. It's amazing.

João D-Kid gave it a 10:
O melhor jogo que jogei até agora!! (5 estrelas)

Will P. M. gave it a 10:
This is a great business simulation game, actually one of my favourite game on pc. Need some time to know the general function of it but once you learn you can't stop playing. And if ever they make a Capitalism 3, hope they add more campaigns, have a world based economy, more products, bigger cities. But that's just me, always complaning, never satisfied... :)
