Summary
CSI: Hard Evidence continues the crime-solving experience of Ubisoft's CSI video game series. Players join Gil Grissom, Catherine Willows and the rest of the Las Vegas cast to help solve crimes using realistic techniques and lab equipment. CSI: Hard Evidence features forensic reconstructions and atmospheric crime scenes taken directly from the television show, including an all-new garage lab for analyzing large evidence such as cars and boats, improved evidence gathering, review and lab mini-games, and more areas to explore, resulting in longer play experiences. Game Chronicles
Hard Evidence is full of the show’s quirky one-liners and retains the shows visual style for a very entertaining environment.

In the end, we all play games because of the entertainment factor. Whether or not you’ll like this game depends on how important difficulty and challenge are to your enjoyment.

Well-written but ugly and still too easy to solve. [Nov 2007]
PC Gamer
The game is only entertaining with all the help systems (of which there are many) disabled, so that you're forced to decide which tools should be used on which splatters and spatters. [Jan 2008, p.74]
IGN
The real disappointments is the lackluster interrogation system and the repetition of locales. If you're a CSI fan, you're probably better off just buying the DVDs of some previous seasons. But, as a rental, this is actually enjoyable enough to play through the end

The CSI games have become better in recent outings, but ultimately this title feels a lot like treading water, and in some respects, a small regression from the last game.

You're a passenger watching a crime solve itself - except you get to do all the donkey work. [Mar 2008, p.79]
GameSpot
Hard Evidence offers few surprises and even fewer challenges throughout its five undemanding murder mysteries.

If you’re looking for a challenging mystery adventure, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a 5-6 hour distraction, Hard Evidence is the game for you.

Joe B. gave it a10:
I think it is great! It keeps you on edge and using forensic tools is sooo cool. Gaphics are pretty good too. I love it!
Thom P. gave it a1:
If you know the series, you will be very disappointed, like me. The graphics are bad, and the gameplay is weak, not entertaining at all. I rate this game 1 , one point goes to the serie itself.
