What we have here is a slightly updated graphics engine of reasonable quality considering the genre, but no oil painting, and there’s enough stats flying around Cycling Manager 4 to sink a battleship full of new, bewildered players and float the spatially modest kayak carrying the bicycle-seat hardened faithful.

PC Format

For the first few races, you'll understand little of what's going on and regularly languish at the back of the pack as a result. But give it a little time and you should soon be running away with that coveted yellow jersey. Hell, you might even enjoy yourself. [Oct 2004, p.92]
