Just Adventure
A breath of nostalgic perfume for the point-and-click enthusiast. I was sorry when it was over, and I fervently hope that the Count finds a way to come back and haunt us for third time.

Let's cut to the chase -- this game sucks. Or rather, its chief antagonist does, since that vampiric schmuck Dracula just won't stay dead...bloody good fun.

Now that I've finished this game, I'm kind of hoping the developers will go ahead and create another.

It looks stunning. The real time sprite animations aren't so hot, but everything else is sharp.

The game has some disappointing quirks in play but the plot music and graphics come together perfectly.

It's a good game, with occasional glimpses of genius, but its many flaws prevent it from achieving true greatness.

Quandary
Creeping is what you do - a menacing mood pervades the game, and you feel you should be cautious. Play with the lights off and everything is accentuated. I jumped more than once.

What makes this game original is the storyline.

It is the kind of decent B-list thing that tides you over until another one of these A-list gems comes along.

Adventure Gamers
Better than "Dracula Resurrection" and worth picking up. However, it falls short of greatness.

Adrenaline Vault
While this sequel is not at all an embarrassment, its gameplay never matches the high level indicated by the truly great character depictions and scenic backdrops.

The game grows on you, however, mostly because of its kooky style.

It's lengthy and difficult, and there are puzzles at every turn. Unfortunately, the game is also filled with long, empty hallways bookended by mysteriously locked doors--so it doesn't manage to be atmospheric at all, in spite of its great visuals.

An achievement in cramming as many puzzles into a game as possible. [Apr 2001, p.81]

Totally sucks. I cant believe that when I bought this game it said nothing about it being a worthless point and click mouse game on the box. I feel very ripped off. At least with the playstation version you can use a gamepad but as for the PC version , forget about it!
