Summary
Drug Wars is a gritty, gory romp through a futuristic New York City, circa 3100, where severe global warming conditions have resulted in a harsh divide between upper-class Brooklyn gang bosses and a booming population of engineered Neanderthal bottom-dwellers. Using the powerful Crytek 2 Engine, Paleo Entertainment offers players of Drug Wars a collection of varied maps rife for fast-paced multiplayer chaos, featuring a deadly variety of weapons, including everything from a biomechanical arm to environmental objects - including the severed limbs of your foes - to gain control of the coveted drug trade. Add in several brand-new vehicles to both traverse across the detailed landscapes and mow down your opponents, and Drug Wars offers up a slew of game options to keep players addicted to the bloody fun. PALGN
Overall, there isn't much on offer to sway gamers other than over-the-top graphic violence in Drug Wars. Those looking a cheap piece of gory entertainment are probably better off picking up a slasher flick from the local video store - at least you can take it back when you don't want it anymore.

Victor A gave it an8:
Actually its a 7, but im using 8 because of all the low-rates from people who barely played it. Clipping issues and framerate drops are the biggest problen on this title, plus the short duration... But crashes? I never had any. I guess it works for some... Its mindless fast paced gore action. With dark humor. If youre looking for a serious title to dwelve hours into, avoid this. But original weapons(and fun to use), hilarious and fun close quarters combat mechanics make this one a little jewel that cant be missed by any fan of oldscholl shooters out there. Play the demo before buying, and dont give ratings around personal taste. Ive saw plenty of games with various glitches with far better ratings... if the theme doesnt appeal to you, avoid it. MOB(drug wars) is extremely stlyzed with a comic book feel, big proportions and gore; its not for everyones taste. For me at least, it was a welcome change of pace and style from most games nowadays.

This game is full of bugs. Even after the patch it is till unplayable. I suggest you spend your money else where.
Francesco T. gave it a0:
Francesco T. gave it a0: I stumbled across the first major bug after like 15 seconds of playing, then another major bug upon using "savegame" 3 minutes later - I then decided to give it up for good - just unplayable PS - now this game it won't even load anymore - I won't bother trying to reinstall. PS - nice the idea of changing the title of the game to get round the bad scores!!!
Merv C gave it a3:
This game was renamed by the manufacturer after low reviews. Look it up under Merchants of Brooklyn, where it has a metascore of 35. I would agree with that assessment. When it wasn't crashing it was really slow. I've already traded it in.
Scott W gave it an8:
Love the game play and the humor, its just one of those games where art and gameplay hit home.
Ben H. gave it a10:
Good game good graphics and fun to play the multiplayer. all around great. the patch fixed a lot of things and now it runs much smoother
