Use your footballing knowledge to make decisions that are reflected both on and off-the-field in one of the world's greatest leagues. The player decides whether to build training grounds and centres of excellence to improve play, or hotels and shops to increase revenue streams. All of this while the user keeps the squad fit, develops the youth team and monitors players' individual form and development making for the deepest and most involving management game available. There is also the on-pitch tactical battle where the manager can make real life decisions that will impact the game as he watches his players do battle. [Amazon UK]

For me, Championship Manager is still supreme. But it's certainly a close run thing.

[GameSpot UK]: Anyone seeking a slick, highly playable, graphically engaging management experience which captures the passion and glamour of Europe's Premier leagues could do a whole lot worse than ink in FAPLM 2002's name on their team sheet.

Fans of the series can back me on this one, "Championship Manager" will literally suck away the hours until the mere concept of time goes out the window, unfortunately there just isn't that immersive element to FAPLM 2002.

plm is an amzing game but there is still room for imrovement, i have played many hours on champ manager and find the 2 games very close in playability!!!!! roll on champ manager 4.
