Summary
FLOCK! uses a sophisticated physics engine that drives the challenging puzzle elements of the game. Whether it's using the Tractor beam to move obstacles out of the way, or the Depressor beam to stamp out crop circles to guide your herds, being an extraterrestrial has never been this addictive. Friends can also join in through co-op play. And when all the levels have been completed, users can make their own with the level editor that comes with the game. Flock comes packed with so much content, the potential fun is out of this world! Over 50 levels of pastoral puzzle challenges. Explore levels to find secret collectables and upgrades. Level Editor allows players to make their own "plushie" and puzzle-filled levels and share them with their friends online. Two-player local co-op mode makes the "flocking" exponentially fun. Compelling environments complemented by a whimsical art style, beautiful lighting and distinctive textures make this one of the most graphically-advanced downloadable titles to date. Real-world physics engine creates all new types of puzzles: pick up wooden planks to form bridges, move items to create obstructions, crush wheat into pathways. [Capcom]

Flock! has a few quirks that some players may not fully appreciate, but this is the type of high-caliber title we'd like to see more of on PC.

Perhaps Flock's cost is too expensive for it’s real value, but those who are looking for new puzzles will enjoy this new game. A better multiplayer mode and a greater variety of challenges would have provided an unforgettable game.

This game is good. It had a lot of potential and succeeded on a few fronts.

Corralling livestock is a fun new way to solve puzzles, but some agitating quirks will push the impatient away.

Flock is designed to not be smooth or elegant, and the herky jerky mechanics of guiding animals/stopping to pick up stragglers/guiding animals/stopping to pick up stragglers doesn't make me want to follow the herd.

Flock! is a game with an endearing presentation but it's sadly followed by incredibly weak execution in the core gameplay, especially in the offering of campaign levels.

Counting sheep may send you to sleep, but abducting sheep is much more exciting. Playing an alien, you need to abduct animals like sheep, cows, chickens or pigs while avoiding obstacles or hungry wolves. There are 50 levels and a simple editor to create your own ones.

Don’t look for great accomplishments and fresh ideas in Flock!. It’s foolish to expect something revolutionary from critters that gave rise to the word “mutton-head”.

It's all a bit sad really. Flock! is an enjoyable game when it all works, but it's far too easy to encounter one of its many soul destroying problems that'll make you wish you were playing something else. It's certainly something quite unique on the current crop of systems, but that doesn't stop if from being a disappointment.

A great idea with some impressive physics, but soon becomes a chore.

Frustrating controls. [July 2009, p.70]
PC Gamer UK
The puzzles are mediocre, the controls are too sluggish, the animal behaviour too abstract and the humour either non-existent or gratifyingly dad-like. [June 2009, p.101]

Michael P gave it a4:
Just isn't much fun. At first it's interesting, but you get bored real quick after about 20 levels.
