This is a very good game with lots of servers with all kind of people. It has its several mods from Super Heros to the lastest Pokemod. This is one of the rare cases where its an old game that will continue to advance in time without it being forgot.

Most people would rate this game 5/10 or lower due to the fact of these... Cheaters, hackers, boring, pointless, bad graphics, old, annoying, and everyone is just plain better then me. CS is a well balanced game and there are servers out there where admins will take care of the hackers!! The game is well known for leagues and lanning! I been to the majority of the following. CAL, OGL, CPL, WCG, ESL, XPL, ESEA, CEVO, LAN Tourny and more. This game relies on skill, fast reaction, and good hearing. Its a balanced game, and its the most addicting game I own. I am a proud supporter of Counterstrike and I rate this a 10/10 for just badassness and all around funness and laughs. -[BE]Sauced? Rates this a 10/10.

Counter-Strike is the pinnacle of multiplayer FPS gaming. Many games have been released, updated and left for dead since its retail release in 2000, but CS has managed to remain at the top of the heap as the best Online FPS game. It's a fixture in international competition and a party favourite at LAN centres across the world. Seldom does something as disposable as a computer game captivate thousands for such a long period of time, but the outstanding quality and completeness of CS 1.6 continues to do so. With having played this game professionally for a number of years, along with the experience of my continued involvement as the Manager of a professional team, I can tell you that CS is as strong as ever. It seems that the community has created a juggernaut capable of squashing any challenger to its crown. Call of Duty, America's Army, Battlefield, Wolfentstein and even Counter-Strike: Source have all failed to supplant this spectacular tactical team game as the number one game of it's kind on the world. If you are looking for the ultimate in FPS team based gameplay, look no further than Counter-Strike 1.6, available on Steam.

Counter-Strike is by a vast margin the most enjoyable and extravagant game in FPS gaming history. It is the cornerstone in online leagues such as CAL, CEVO, ESEA, ESL, XPL, and also the cornerstone of international LAN events such as CPL, WCG, Kode5, EM, and more all across the world! If you ever wanted to make a living off of professional gaming, this is the way to go. All gamers, from casual to professional have and always will agree that Counter-Strike was by far the best FPS game in history. The game-play is unrivaled, the graphics are defined and to the point in the no bull shit fashion we all love, the experience like no other. So I recommend any gamer, whether this be your first FPS game purchase ever and want to finally see what the FPS gaming scene is all about, or if you've been a long die hard fan of FPS games, Counter-Strike is for you!!! 10/10 easy!!

Let me be clear that this 5 rating comes from an average of two specific things. As a game that (I believe) revolutionized the FPS and Multiplayer genre, it deserves a solid 10/10. It is a technical marvel, it plays flawlessly, and is insanely addictive. Once you own it you just keep coming back for more. It doesn't matter what other games are out or will come out in the future, this title will stand out for a long time as the epitome of a perfect gaming experience. The average of a 5/10 comes from the other extent of my review which is a 0/10 for all the ridiculously annoying hackers that ruined the game for many many people. This game was so fun and entertaining until the hackers killed things for a good number of Counter Strike fans. That is all.

There is no game on the market, even today, which surpasses this game's skill-success ratio. This game requires aim, patience, quick thinking, and caffeine.

this is the most popular game in this 'hole' world, that real gamers still playing even they forbidden to touch a pc. i think this game will stay on the market at least 2 years. want explanation? here some: 1)the graphic is good and doesn't stacking comps. 2)it upgrade your reflexes. 3)it can pass 6 hr in 2 min. i think its enough for now.
