Summary
Iron Man, an explosive third-person action shooter game that pits one of the world's most renowned Super Heroes against unspeakable odds, draws its story from the upcoming movie while also incorporating story elements from original Iron Man comic books. Using the advanced technology in Iron Man's suits of armour, gamers can take advantage of the wide array of high-impact weapons to strategically annihilate any enemy force standing in their way. Before tackling stunning and immense open battlefields, players can customise their armour suit as they encounter progressively more vicious enemies, and fight in epic battles that could challenge even the toughest Super Heroes. If you can get past Iron Man’s head-scratching learning curve, what are you left with? A game that’s far from perfect, but still better than a lot of movie and comic book tie-ins that have come before ( *wink* Catwoman).

Iron Man for the PC is another casualty in the sad and lengthy history of failed movie-game tie-ins.

Even fans of the comic won’t have fun with this piece. At the beginning, the permanent explosions are quite entertaining, but soon they get as boring as the monotony of a firing machine gun. No, thanks!

A terrible action game in its own-right but made even worse because it was based on an awesome action film. Roll your eyes over this one folks.

Terrible visuals, straightforward/easy gameplay, and a plethora of other problems make Iron Man fail at being anything worth trying.

A PS2 port, when there's an Xbox 360 version? This is a dreadful example of shameless corner cutting and an awful game. [Aug 2008, p.107]

He can fly! And that'd be about it - Iron Man can't jump, climb the ladder or pick any Goddamned thing. When the novelty of flying wears off, all that remains is a very disappointing shooter lacking any challenge. Oh, and I saw much prettier games on PlayStation 2. [July 2008]

Combat though, is miserable. [Aug 2008, p.73]
PC Gamer
Shame on you SEGA, for disrespecting fans with this sad excuse for an action game. [Aug 2008, p.65]
PC Gamer UK
Don't shell out for ol' shellhead. The action-figure is more fun. [Aug 2008, p.79]

I wish I had used the money I spent on this game and had given it to the poor instead. What a waste of time and money!
[Anonymous] gave it a0:
One of the worst games of all time. huge let down. had more fun playing the xbox demo. It had better graphics too.
Shawn N. gave it a0:
I love this game. The graphics are made of 100% pure win (and pancakes). The storyline is perfected in terms of accuracy. I also love lying. This game is crap. Avoid at all costs.
awesome person gave it a1:
It's fun to blow things up at first, but then it gets incredibly boring and easy. Skip it for the sake of man kind.
[Anonymous] gave it a0:
Another terrible attempt at a game remake of a movie. The graphics look horrible, animations look like someone made them in 5 minutes, low-res textures, and confusing gameplay.
anon gave it a3:
Before playing tis game bear in mind one thing: It's a movie-based game made by Sega, that is all you need to know.
JIM gave it a0:
The only thing i can say that this game is worst ever in all !!!!! Sega did it ones more , the PC version of this game is actual the ps2 version so don't believe the trailers because trailers is ps3 and xbox360 and The they done with Hulk.
