Summary
Juiced 2: HIN evolves the current street racing scene, letting players experience the culture of the real-life HIN tour, the nation's largest lifestyle custom car show in an intense racing experience. Featuring track and drift racing at real-world locations around the globe, next-gen AI and vehicle customization, Juiced 2: HIN brings street racing to life, allowing players to test their skills at live street racing events against a back-drop of DJs, fashion, models and musicians. New features include addictive drift/ powersliding races and "Driver DNA" that tracks gamers' personal driving traits. These profiles, along with the profiles of select celebrities will be available for download across all online gaming systems. Racing developer Juice Games has evolved the game-play in its online racing, giving players the power to create their car, assemble their crew and put it all on the line in intense pink slip and crew races. Gamers can bet cash on each event, bringing a gambling element to the game that greatly increases the importance of each race. [THQ]

GameStar
Even though it doesn't deserve an award for innovation, as far as variety, track design, AI and long-term motivation are concerned, Juiced 2 is far ahead of the competition.

Problems appear in the shape of tedious tracks, extremely simple physics model, infuriating loading times and unremarkable playability.

An insecure game unsure of who wants to play it, but that's not to say it isn't fun. [Mar 2008, p.78]
PC Gamer UK
Cheap, brief, hard-to-control thrills. [Feb 2008, p.74]
Play (Poland)
One of the two original ideas - betting on the outcome of the race - effectively nullifies any challenge, small as it were. Contrary to its overly hard predecessor, Juiced 2 allows the player to instantly bounce back from defeat using this easy money. The other somewhat original idea, the DNA that is supposed to store information about drivers' traits and skills, is a complete fiasco. Raising the stats of your driver has virtually no influence on the handling of the car and who gives a hoot about the skills of all those losers who are seen mostly in the rear mirror? Other than that, it's a lackluster Need for Speed clone. [March 2008]
PC Format
The only steering you'll be doing is steering clear. [Feb 2008, p.113]

Hound gave it a4:
Pros: Lots of choice, Slightly more mature feel, Good UI, good graphic "EFFECTS", Pink slipping, Crew system Cons: X-360port, Only X360 controller support, Poor scalable graphics, Terrible controls system, Ai is sub-par. Conclusion : Its a good attempt but it feels like an unfinished product they needed to give J2 alot more polish and that added with the fact this game has been released with only X360 controller support makes it all the worth while to avoid. 4/10

I really liked this game. I've bought a whole bunch of games from Steam and none of them except for Half-Life has kept me in my chair playing the same game for so long. It has its stupid points--the announcer is horrible, for one thing, and the game doesn't hold back on showing off girls gettin jiggy with it--but, using my wired XBOX 360 controller, this game is actually very playable. Two thumbs up!
