FiringSquad
Dead on the Money is one of the finest police procedural or detective adventure games ever created.

One thing that amazed me about this game was the realistic clarity of the faces of the characters. Awesome! I sometimes thought I was playing an FMV game. Almost photo-realistic.

The game puts you right in the middle of the show. There's no one to fall back on. It's all up to you and let me tell you this is one tough mother.
IGN
A must-buy to anyone who likes "Law & Order." It might be a little disappointing when you get to the end, but its still good fun.

A fun detective adventure game, albeit one with a few gameplay problems. The game itself is not terribly long, either, so the longevity may be questionable.

After wading through the technical problems, a solid murder mystery that's fun to play and worth the money.

Fans of the TV Law & Order series will feel right at home because it is just what the lawyer ordered.

I liked the concept of the game, and it was sort of fun to play a lawyer for a while, but the pacing and interface really got on my nerves.

May not be too deep, but it's relatively easy to play. [4 Oct 2002, p.158]
GameSpot
You can play through the game twice with little time investment, and as long as you take copious notes of what works, you'll be able to solve the game eventually.

Less well-executed than the story, but nevertheless intriguinig, is the open-ended style of gameplay. [Jan 2003, p.85]
PC Gamer
Where it falls apart is in the game design. [Jan 2003, p.114]
G4 TV
Although it's an excellent representation of "Law & Order" in playable form, there just isn't much to play.

It is incredibly boring - you're basically watching an episode of the television show while contributing sporadic mouse clicks. [Mar 2003, p.106]
