Summary

New players to Lineage II will be able to take advantage of over four years of game refinements, making The Kamael the most engaging version of Lineage II to be released. Top of The Kamael's feature list is the aforementioned new playable race. With an affinity to dark magic, these single-winged warriors have finally been freed from their age-long exile. Through deadly and decisive combat skills, they aspire to attain their almighty 'final form' as a dual-winged demon. [NCSoft]

A nice package with all the elements contained in one place. This is a good anniversary package, though most of the newer content is for upper level characters.

I wouldn't say that I was hooked on it but I can see why others may be, if you fancy a change from the more common MMOs, I'd probably recommend Eve: Online first but if you're adamant on a more medieval style setting, give this a try. Just don't expect to hit level 80 this year, at least not without a lot of missed sleep.

Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne, Kamael: The 1st Throne is one tough cookie to crack; however, put in the effort and you will be rewarded with an immense world featuring a whole host of character classes, locations and quests to get lost in.

To play this as long as it demands is simply a waste of your life. Please, don't do it. [Mar 2008, p.86]

Hands down the best MMORPG on the market, people will be playing this game 5 years from now and its 5 years old!

Aeki I. gave it a10:
I think L2 is the best mmorpg, because it have 1 of the best Pvp/Pk systems and I think its better then WoW. I play L2 since 7 years or longer and will play it on.

velimir r gave it a10:
First MMO i ever played(since C1). Back then it was much harder to play, now they've made rly big changes to help new players. ppl should stop by and check it again, its worth a shot. cheers!

Michael C gave it a2:
The grinding requirments on this game are insane even compared to other mmos. Often players lack the funds needed to get the gear in order to progress. You have to really love killing monsters over and over for countless hours. Then scam people over and over on the free market with in the game. The other illegeal but popular option is to fork out a ton of real life money to buy in game gold and for bot users to do the grinding for you. While it might seem a wide range of class's some are very simular with minior skill changes. Most of the time the differnce from one class was the race of the avatar and the name of the skill. I found my self using only 3 skills at most to kill a monster. That was if you were a caster. Fighters often run out of juice easly to preform special atacks so its double click yawn wait for the kill then double click. As you level up old skills become useless and repalced with basicly a skill that does same thing at max level as they do at level 1. The game could dominate the mmo world if they realxed the grind and put some thought into skills. Awsome graphics. Raid boss's and castle seiges are very fun if you can get enough people. But it takes such an insane amount of time to get into the fun end game stuff most people quit.

Jeff M gave it a10:
That's ridiculous. A 35 because you didn't want to put time into a game is a horrible excuse to not play one. I've played many MMO's and this is by far my favorite. It just takes more time and is a heck of a lot more difficult than most other games out there.

debisu a gave it a9:
grat graphics and textures i think, but if you going to plai it, pleas not in low rates you will die before you become to lvl 80

Brett D gave it a5:
I really enjoyed this game, mostly for the realistic graphics and character designs. I don't know what poeple are thinking when they say WoW is a graphical masterpeice...L2 is way prettier. I do sort of think that the given score is correct though. L2 is way to dependent on money income. Teleportations fees can cost up to 10k going from one city to the next, and soulshots are extremely expensive for someone who doesn't have the ability to sell items from one character and farm from another at the same time. By the time I reached lv 40 and needed to buy c grade gear, I had a grand total of 40k. Unless the prices get dropped, or loot gets increased, I don't think I will go back to L2.
