Martin Holan, a linguistics and archeology student has been contacted by his uncle to examine a mysterious World War II tunnel unearthed while building a new highway in Bohemia. A friend of Martin’s uncle is supposed to meet Martin upon his arrival to brief him on the mysterious discovery, however when he arrives in Prague he discovers she has been murdered. What begins as a short expedition to Prague to examine an enigmatic tunnel turns into a dangerous and thrilling mystery, where murder, deception, the deep dark secrets of the Nazis, and the demise of the Mayan civilization, have our hero reeling into the heart of an exhilarating adventure. Just Adventure
I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery, the puzzles, and the graphics, and felt right at home with much of it. In the same spirit that caused me to love Black Mirror despite its laughable flaws, I’m going to have to give Nibiru an A-.

Nibiru: Age of Secrets doesn’t stoke the flames of innovation by any stretch of the imagination and it does have a few of the adventure game deficiencies that the genre has always been known for, however the sense of adventure steeped into the game through the intriguing storyline, constant change of environmental location, photo-realistic backdrops and superb ambiance and musical score more than makes up for the setbacks.

Quandary
Overall Nibiru is an intriguing and entertaining game, not overly difficult, and I had a lot of fun playing it.

Game Chronicles
But even with all of this quality presentation the gameplay is still held back a notch by the limited scope and quirky nature of the puzzles, repetitive backtracking between locations, and an overall slower pace than most competing adventure titles.

GameSpot
A stereotypical classic adventure. Future Games has done this one up in the traditional style popularized way back when by the likes of Sierra and LucasArts, so if you're a fan of this sort of old-school adventuring and don't demand that game designers reinvent the wheel, you can't go wrong here.

If you’re a die-hard adventure game nut then you can add an additional point to the score just because it’s an adventure game. For the rest of you out there just remember that sometimes being good enough isn’t that good.

WHAM! Gaming
A game which has enough to keep you engaged with it all the way until the final crucial discovery about the nature and meaning of Nibiru.

IGN
For me, even as a traditional adventure game, it had a little too much pixel hunting and arbitrary solution paths. I think the genre has evolved to a much more compelling plateau.

Adventure Gamers
A good game is smudged by some obvious flaws in the gameplay that prevent it from standing with the greats. But fans of classic gaming will get a generally enjoyable game due to the story, inventory puzzling, diverse characters, and good looking graphics.

Worth Playing
In the end, being "kind of amusing" isn't enough to make a game good.

G4 TV
The laughably bad voice acting will irritate, the ornery puzzle situations will annoy, and everything will be over so quickly you’ll wonder why you bothered in the first place.

It's not as bad as a Pauly Shore film marathon, but neither is it worth your time, energy, and money. [Holiday 2005, p.70]

Inge D. gave it a3:
Great game, but a big big shame that the movements in the game are sooooo sloooow. It`s incredible in our day and time, that it was released with such a major flaw. Even the very first computergames had more speed than this!

Warmonger gave it a5:
This game started off good but just became increasingly frustrating caused by situations using illogical reasoning!! for example: why on earth would you strap a stick of dynamite onto a rat in order to open a door?? it stands to reason if the inital charge was not sufficient just use more to accomplish the task!!!. It are instances like these that just ruined the game for me... also the puzzles near the end became just too convoluted( think of rubik's cube) taking to joy out of an other wise interesting story. When will these people learn how to make a game using everyday "logical" scenarios?? what a disappointment...what a shame!

Kronos of Rognar gave it a0:
Can't finish the game because of program error. asked help on there official website but there not helping.

Adventure D. gave it a1:
Pathetic foolure if you ask me, as it only serves to enunciate the dying adventure genre. Why was there no trip to Nibiru? The game vegetates on Earth, and is uneventful and the graphics are not exactly spectacular. You'd be better to go with the other title released by this publisher, 'Voyage: Inspired by Jules Verne'.

Wayne D. gave it a10:
Great game! It makes me euphoric!
