ESRB Rating: RP (Rating Pending)

Release Date: December 1, 2005

Summary

Geared to the teen and tween player, ROSE Online caters to an audience largely untapped by other persistent world games. The game provides a safe, family-friendly game world for today's youth looking for an atypical MMORPG option. ROSE thrusts players into a deep storyline and involve them immediately, encouraging building community. Players have the option to form groups, or guilds, to compete for dominion over the seven planets within the ROSE galaxy. The title focuses on epic battles with catastrophic implications, rather than small-scale confrontations. Instead of losing control of a castle, guilds have to contend with losing control of their world. Kings emerge, and kingdoms are created as players begin to maneuver their way through a social, political and economic labyrinth within the game. The one who can put all seven planets under their control will become the most powerful force in the universe.

BonusStage

The game world is wondrously realized and a joy to explore, the different factions allow for some nice camaraderie and there’s more than enough adventuring in sotre for those who hop onboard.

Gaming Nexus

It's cute, its colorful, and it will eat your soul(and spare time) if you let it. ROSE is not a typical MMO by any means, but I enjoyed its quirky characters and atypical plotline.

PC Gamer

Hardcore MMO-ers won't like it, but those who enjoy the lighter side will. [Apr 2006, p.78]

While the controls are pretty easy to pick up for casual players, a few technical issues hold the game back.

Archie G. gave it a6:
Fan to play but it became tiresome, It takes an incredible amount of time to when your higher level. Missions rewards are lacking, drop item is much better (Rare type). You'll spend lot of time and money in this game and yet the games still incomplete.

David C. gave it a9:
The game is more detailed then you might think at first glance. I have been a player that liked to fight things solo. This game has made it very fun and important to fight in groups. You can still be a solo fighter if you like. Crafting is simplified but it has many thing you can make. Try ROSE it is just plain fun to play.
