Overall, from its equal treatment of Sims in different stages of life to its smooth integration with all previous expansion packs, FreeTime is very well-rounded and better thought-out than many of the previous expansions.

Career and romance become even easier thanks to a new batch of options directed at starting and improving the relationships. There is nothing revolutionary in this rather utilitarian add-on, but if I can have a good time fixing the microwave, why not? [March 2008]

Free Time is so uninspiring compared to some other Sims add-ons. The combination of developing your hobbies, making a career and maintaining your Sims is a difficult one. The add-on adds little to the concept. Only for Sims-addicts.
