Summary
(Also known as "RedLynx Trials 2: Second Edition") RedLynx has extended its popular Trials 2 motorcycle game into a completely new level. Trials 2 Second Edition includes 40 different tracks, own player profiles, team building, statistics, achievements, global high-scores, online replays and much, much more. Trials 2 Second Edition is a motorcycle game that emphasizes balance, skill and control over speed. You, as the player, try to tackle indoor obstacle tracks with minimum faults, as fast as possible. The tracks consist of logs, truck tires, horizontal ladders, metal ramps, jumps over concrete pipes, scaffoldings reaching staggering heights, etc. To succeed, you need to simultaneously control the bike and the driver’s posture, sometimes advancing inch by inch, sometimes hitting full throttle to jump over flaming barrels. Due to the realistic RedLynx Trials-physics model, there are no predefined action keys or moves: The player is in complete control of every outcome. This offers total freedom on how the tracks are completed, and makes this a game of real skill. In Trials 2 Second Edition, Trials 2 is expanded into a completely new level. Fasten your helmet, and prepare for bruises. [RedLynx]

Trials 2 Second Edition, a new version of legendary Action Supercross looks good and sounds good. Game is really hard, but gives player a fantastic feeling of satisfaction when reaching a goal after many many retrys and almost losing nerves and banging head to the floor. Hard levels and downloadable content guarantee a long time fun. Trials 2 is cheap investment and it is a game that should be played in short periods now and then. And you never get enough of this. Watch out, ten minutes of Trials 2: Second Edition can hit you so hard that you won't notice the time until it's already morning. Pure, polished skill-rewarding gameplay and probably the best thing you can get for twenty bucks.

A thoroughly enjoyable arcade puzzler. [June 2008, p.109]
Boomtown
Just because it chews you up and spits you out on a regular basis, the fact remains that the game is so much fun and charming that it assimilates your every thought and effort. It's very much a bitter-sweet relationship, but one from which you'll never want to break.

The “ye oldie” solitaire and minesweeper have finally met their match. This game is meant for the casual gamer on the go!

The camera controls are fixed, but since the bike actually only travels in one direction, you can not turn it, once you find an angle that works for your play style, you are set.

Trials 2 is a throwback to old school gaming. It is a game that doesn't try to be too many things. It takes a single concept and executes it well.

We loved the idea, the simplicity, the fun, the playability and the addiction that ensues. It's been a long time since I played a game with a broad smile on my face!

Trials 2: Second Edition might not be enough to pull you away from GTA: IV, but it remains a fun and often challenging game.

A very good game that is simple to learn but challenging to really be good at. If you lack patience, you will pull your hair out. But if you're looking for a game that requires skill and is fun, this is the game for you.

Dangerously addictive. [July 2008, p.83]
Eurogamer
Its sheer brutal nature keeps it away from the nine, but if this isn't in the Eurogamer Top 50 at the end of the year...well, it means that the rest of the Eurogamer guys haven't played the thing. And more fool them.

The solid online stats tracking and downloadable replays are terrific additions. Trials 2: Second Edition will make you tear your hair out in frustration and swear like a trooper, but you'll have a good time in the process.

It certainly plays to its strengths. [May 2008, p.78]
IGN
Gamers who enjoy physics based puzzle games like Portal and challenging old-school 2D games will get a kick out of Trials 2. This game has been tailor made to meet the demands of competitive gamers. However, this game isn't for everyone.

No doubt, Trials 2 - The Second Edition is as just fun as its flash-based forerunners - but despite the motivating online-ranking system and the neat optics it’s neither more, nor less. A game perfect for being consumed in-between.

It may be a tough nut to crack, but just like the most invaluable of real-life partners, that makes the effort all the more gratifying in the end.

Richard A. gave it a10:
What an awesome game for just 10 bucks! I've never been a huge fan of motor sports, but this game definitely has got "that something". On the first try I spent six hours, just couldn't stop it and it works as a casual every now and then experience as well. No disappointments here!
Ceed gave it a10:
This game is addictive. When you start playing or so you will find the game very fun, though it's first after like 15 hours it will become really addictive. It might not seem very rewarding, but I can promise, gaining ranks is rewarding enough :D After over 90 hours of playing I can say that it was probably the most well-spent 10$ ever for me.
Simon F gave it a10:
This game is one of the best indie games I have ever played. The gameplay is awesome and the graphic is very good. My thumps up for this game!
Mortimer S. gave it a10:
Awesome rework or a timeless miniclip classic, this game has it all I love it and was the best £5 Ive ever spent, too addictive for words.
Fred T. gave it a10:
Why did I not stumble on this game before? It's so punishing yet so addictive! They just don't make games like this anymore. Pure genius, and the physics are top notch.
Brendan k. gave it a3:
I hate the game but I didn't give it a 1 because I like when they blow up.
macturtle gave it an8:
This is the best and most original Motorsports game I have ever played and the challenging tracks is what keeps me coming back for more!!
