PC Gamer
Its control niggles make it more suitable for console platforms, and it's nowhere near as enjoyable as last year's "Spider-Man" movie game. [July 2003, p.90]
Cincinnati Enquirer
Controlling Wolverine during combat can prove difficult, especially when there are multiple enemies onscreen simultaneously.

All this lame locking on, being stealthy, performing advanced moves with a single tap, dealing with a wretched camera system crap needs to go straight out the window fast.
Doesn't bring anything really cool to the table in terms of gameplay, but if you're a fan of the X-Men and looking for a game that really fleshes out Wolverine's life, then this may be worth checking out.

A sloppy console port... To top all the negative aspects, the game is rather short and, quite frankly, hardly worth its current $30 price tag.

For all its problems, the single most grating aspect of Wolverine's Revenge is its sound.

Unfortunately, for my rapidly dwindling sanity, the PC version not only retains the basic gameplay, erratic camera, and simplistic level design of the original, it tops off that witch's brew of gaming mediocrity with a whole passel of problems unique to the PC version.

Something of a tragedy. It is a game hindered by far more than just bad graphics; controlling the X-Mens most dangerous weapon is far from fun, and borders on infuriating.

The gameplay, already uninspired and annoying on the consoles, is an uncontrollable mess on PC and not even worth it for fanboys. [Sept 2003, p.100]

Less Snikt! More Shikt! Basically suffers the same problem as the Spidey games.... expecting you to fight off camera enemies while you are looking at yourself from the frony. Probably plays better on a 20 button console, but give the Pc version a miss
[Anonymous] gave it a 10:
This game was great! The controlls were a little off but the story, the graphics, and the backgrounds are superb. Definitely worth the 30 bucks.
hell_burnt gave it a 1:
The price of the pirated one I think is not even worth spending. I cant believe how sloppy this game was. To think that this was produced by Marvel?! I got a GEForce4 TI 4200 videocard 256 RAM mem. but the game still slows down even on cut scenes! The graphics is so primitive, its like the drawings in the comics patched together in 3D. I expect it to be like that in Spiderman Movie version. But its worse! At least the spidey game has only a camera difficulty but have a great graphics and gameplay. The game is even frustrating coz its hard to control in areas with lots of fires and effects not to mention the goons chasing you. I can't even get the cheat on and my fingers are aching, can't wait to finish this overly-budget and publicized crap! The makers of this game hurried this game due to the publicity and success of X-men 2. For us PG gamers and X-men fan this game is a sabotage of our expectations. Stan Lee do sumthing!?!
Todd J. gave it a 2:
Could be a fun game on PC. But the combination of being hard to control and the fact you can't save until the end of each level makes going thru the same thing time and time again until you get to the part you can't get die then get to start the whole thing over again. I wish I could get my money back.
MikeD gave it a 3:
If you happen to be passing through Singapore, and can pick a copy up for a couple of bucks, you might as well. It'll give you something to do on the flight home at least. Unfortunately though, the spastic camera movements, and control system designed by a bunch of crayon-eaters have signed the death warrant of an otherwise average game. You'd think by now someone would've designed a semi-descent X-Men game...
Oliver clothesoff gave it a 10:
This game is DA BOMB! i dont get why those other guys dont like it. could've done a better job on controllin the character.
X2 fear gave it a 1:
The game makes me puke! i think the ps2 version is slightly better . but all the same, the game sucks!
