Graphically, "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX" is about the best that you're going to see in a Playstation title.

It plays well, and above all it is fun.

If you loved Tony Hawk, you will definitely love Mat Hofman's Pro BMX. While it doesn't have the more extensive options and deeper mechanics of "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2," it has plenty of its own personality and depth.

But the one thing that can’t be overlooked is that the game is over way too soon...(but) lives up to the engine it’s built on – it’s a great companion to "THPS2."

The environments are vast and nicely drawn, though the pop-up is a bit frustrating at times. [June 2001, p.103]

Despite a trick roster with some troubling names (anyone care to attempt a “Rocket Queen”?), this is as down and dirty as they come. Detergent not included.

Between the game sound and the game's eclectic soundtrack, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX is totally amazing...The soundtrack rivals "Wipeout XL" for the title of best licensed soundtrack ever.

I'd be ready to write off "Dave Mirra" completely after playing this, if it weren't for the fact I like Acclaim's lineup of riders so much.

It's still a very good game once you learn to live with its shortcomings, and I wouldn't suggest that any THPS addict shy away from buying it, but don't expect THPS on two wheels.

But frankly, this type of fun we've all seen for the PSX twice already, and there's not really enough here to warrant dropping the dough and adding it to the collection - so rent before you buy.

Why are the graphics so bad that I wounld have more fun playing frisbee with the game than play it! Look at tony hawk 2's graphics compared to this! don't buy this rent it first, by the way hit retry 10 times and see the worst secret charater ever! but I gotta hand it to them creating your own coure(s) is cool but tony hawk 2 is cooler....

Jason L. gave it a 5:
This game has pretty good graphics for the PSone, but fails to deliver more than high-score/ sparatic game play.

Daniel M. gave it a 10:
I give it a ten because I can get 3897 points in under 2 minutes.

Brad K. gave it a 10:
I am the best at this game. I can get a 250000 point combo and 600000 in 2 minutes.
