The feel of the arcade makes a successful transfer into an exciting and forever entertaining game that teaches everyone to respect those time honored heroes: the cabbies.

Its excellent mix of driving techniques, fantasy physics, and gigantic cities will keep couch drivers burning onscreen rubber for some time.

There is a vast collection of challenges for you to try, some simple, some stupidly difficult.

After playing Crazy Taxi I had so much fun listening to the music that I felt I shouldve gone out and bought the soundtrack.

You might not find yourself playing Crazy Taxi constantly on the day you buy it, but you'll still be picking it up for a quick blast of arcade action this time next year.

An excellent, adrenaline pumping game that is nearly identical to its arcade and Dreamcast counterparts.

It's even the kind of game that you can put down for a month, pick back up, and it feels new all over again. However, it's unlikely to inspire extended gameplay; once you've beaten it, there really isn't much to keep you playing.

The original version is every bit as good, if not better than this new release, so only those PS2 owners who don't also own a Dreamcast will find this game worthwhile.

Almost identical to the Dreamcast version. Like a 98% clone identical.

We dont like how the pesky pedestrians always manage to dodge your cab, but the graphics of the San Franciscolike city are amazingly detailed.

It's a few screws short of perfection, but "Crazy Taxi" is worth playing just to see how the opposite end of the "Gran Turismo 3" scale of driving gameplay stacks up.

This is the epitome of the "rental title," you'll be returning it at the perfect time. You'll not only have finished most of the modes, but you'll be pretty sick of it by then too.

A mediocre port of what can already be considered an old Dreamcast game. But on the other hand, it's a port of a good fun game, with the ever-important gameplay still intact. Crazy Taxi on PS2 is still a gut blow of fun.

Gets boring... even more boring than I thought this classic arcade-to-Dreamcast-to-PS2 phenomenon would become. Everyone knows that you can't play a game like this for long stretches of time before putting it on the top shelf for a few months and then rediscovering it. What surprised me, though, is that after only about a week of play I found myself totally uninterested in even fully learning the nuances of driving tricks, or the details and shortcuts of the two cities. I just got frustrated and sick of the game. In its defense, I found none of the slowdown or technical issues that most reviewers complained about, so that alone shouldn't sway a purchase. It's a fun and innovative arcade game that is unquestionably worth a rental if you've never tried it before, but in the end I was sorely disappointed.
John R. gave it a 10:
This is the best game in the whole world. Nothing will replace it!
