Pelit (Finland)
A fun minigame collection that focuses on multiplayer modes. Cheating is a bit too easy, but can not really be avoided. [Dec 2006]
Play UK
The mini-games are plentiful but that's all they are: mini. They're over so quickly that you never quite catch on to what's happening before they end. [Issue 145, p.83]
AceGamez
EyeToy: Play Sports just isn't different enough from its predecessors to warrant a purchase for those who've already sampled the EyeToy's novelties.

Put aside the usual technical niggles and a few duff mini-games, and EyeToy: Play Sports is one of the better EyeToy games. That's a bit of a back-handed compliment, though.

If you own any of the previous Play titles, or you’re flying solo, there’s little to recommend this one unless you’re in dire need of a gaming-based workout. [Nov 2006, p.119]
Sydney Morning Herald
Frustratingly, sometimes the game isn't capable of recognising fine movement and the loading times are long, but this is a great introduction to EyeToy for newcomers.

I did find some pleasure in embarrassing my friends once again, with EyeToy Sports, but with almost no exceptions, the original games available in EyeToy: Play bring much more entertainment, and excel further in presentation than these new ones.

Most games don't respond to much but wild flailing, so you're never far from a black eye. [Nov 2006, p.87]
Games Master UK
Don't expect much from the single-player experieince except one drawn out mini-game after another. [Nov 2006, p.69]
Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK
A patchily enjoyable collection of sports-themed mini-games that might enliven a party for 15 minutes - so long as none of the guests are over six years-old. [Dec 2006, p.92]
Eurogamer
And while it's substantial and probably the best one so far in terms of things to do, the law of diminishing returns means it's starting to look a bit Mario Party.

Eyetoy Play Sports has a wide range of mini games that have different goals, but the goals are fulfilled by doing the same thing repeatedly.
