It's impossible for us to ignore the fact that as life-long gamers there's something about a gigantic sprite filling up half the screen that just innocently excites us, especially when the sprites are animated with this much detail and character.

A great two player game that provides a healthy break from any other game. However, Metal Slug 3 is an arcade game by design and lacks depth. Challenge comes in the form of finding inane secrets, getting the highest score and not dying.

It's certainly not a doddle, as it can take up to a couple days to beat one level on the hardest setting, which certainly makes it last longer. However, it just doesn't offer enough to warrant the price.

Metal Slug 3 doesn’t have a huge lifespan. It doesn’t have fancy 3D graphics. What it does have is a guy shouting "Rocckkket Lauunchhher!" in a Texan accent while you're freeing a semi-naked evil general from the clutches of ETs who look like walking squids.

This game is all about: fun, destruction... and more fun. I can't imagine anyone not liking this - just make sure you don't continously continue and it will last for ages.

Metal Slug 3 is the coolest arcade game ever made sweet graphics awsome 2 player mode and fun game play. I can't wait to get into my paws.
