SingStar Country doesn’t include any of those features but as a multiplayer game it’s recommended as long as you like the songs.

All in all the list of songs tells the tale. If you like what you see, Singstar Country is worth your money. If not, consider the other Singstar options, which include Singstar 90s, SingStar Legends, Singstar Rocks, Singstar Amped (more rock), Singstar 80s, SingStar Pop Vol. 2, and others.

While they're certainly not bad games by any means, familiarity breeds contempt, and I'm just starting to get irked by the lack of freshness.

The most innovative thing about this entry in the SingStar series is the track list, and since country has been ignored up until this point it's a welcome entry.

While the features of SingStar Country are the same, that doesn't mean you can't add your own cowboy boots, spurs, and mechanical bull to the mix to have yourself a good old time.

With this title, so much depends on the song selection and this release will do fine in that regard.

SingStar Country is a good SingStar game. Of course, if you hate country music, you'll hate this disc, but for those of us out there who dig the story-driven lyrics and rhymes of Nashville, this is a quality sampling of songs.

If you have all the SingStar PS2 games at home and you’re a fan of the series then this game will maybe find it’s way into your game collection - but as always, don’t expect anything other than 30 new songs. Still, if they keep adding original, unique and shady music genres like this one, then maybe they should think to release a SingStar Hip-Hop once in for all.

And even though it is a welcome addition to the SingStar family, I am very disappointed in the lack of variety in the song selection.

For those that enjoy karaoke, and who may have already established a decent SingStar library, SingStar Country will most likely be right up your alley. However with only 30 songs and no ability to download content as you can in the next-gen SingStar games, you should be aware there are better options available for fans of the genre.

Country’s 30-track lineup is listed below. It’s fairly strong, though we’d prefer more classic country from Waylon Jennings or Hank Williams and Patsy Cline or Loretta Lynn and less of the empty-headed modern artists like Kellie Pickler, Jessica Simpson, and Bucky Covington. However, it does avoid the series’ typical sin of trying to appeal to fans of too many genres.
