GameShark
A great game, but with its insanely short play time, lack of anything extra, and almost zilch replay value, you'll be hard pressed to buy this one right away.

While its possible the casual gamer may be enchanted by the presentation, Panics high difficulty level will delight only hardcore players.

Great concept, graphics, music, and controls are important characteristics of a great product; but so is gameplay, and in this department Stretch Panic is lacking.

This is a fun little game, but I don't think it's worth buying unless you're a diehard Treasure fan and would really like to support the company.

The game is wildly unorthodox in almost every conceivable respect, though its aesthetics and mechanics are awesomely polished and inventive.

It's simply far too short to be something that's more than a rental unless you just happen to be a diehard fan of Treasure that plans to support the company to the fullest.

Its the perfect cross-breeding of "Super Mario Brothers" and "Hooters!"

Some games are easy to pick up, but hard to master; this game is hard to pick up, which in turn makes it hard to master. And it is a very short game, because all you do is fight bosses.

The novelty of the idea soon gives way to awkward controlling and discombobulating camera angles, resulting in an experience sometimes more frustrating than fun.

Dont get me wrong, I love weird games as much as the next guy, but SP never moves beyond what feels like an elastic 3D engine tech demo. [Sept 2001, p.144]
Next Generation Magazine
Suffers from shallow gameplay and outright boring level design throughout its six-hour adventure. [Nov 2001, p.108]
PSX Nation
Control is atrocious, characters extremely odd and unappealing IMHO (your mileage may vary on this one), rewards for your trouble very minimal, graphics/sounds very underwhelming.

Ryan M. gave it a 7:
I bought this game for 8 bucks that i dug up, and my god this game is actually not that bad. It has a alright storyline without alright graphics, and the whole idea of the game is creative and unique. It's something you'll never see in another game.
