These games are all about gameplay over graphics and SNK Vs Capcom Chaos does not change this one bit. The game is fast paced and the focus is all about the action.

There are so many better fighting games in the market "Soul Calibur 2," "Naruto: Narutimett Hero," "Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution" and even the recently released "King of Fighters 2000/2001" to name a few, which makes this game pale in comparison. [JPN Import]

IC-Games
It’s a shame that the game is let down by poor graphics, presentation and an imbalance of characters as SNK vs. Capcom Chaos is fun to play with has quite a long life span if only as a game that you play for only half an hour at a time with your friends.

With none of the finesse of a Capcom title, but feeling too diluted against some of SNK's previous outings, SVC Chaos manages to just keep its head above the average waters. It fails to go too far in either direction to please either set of players, leaving itself lost in the middle. [Jan 2004, p.106]

Pelaaja (Finland)
SVC Chaos is made for retro-hungry fighting game enthusiasts. The whole game is so tightly based on SNK’s own games, that it could as well been a new "King of Fighters" game, despite the Capcom characters. [May 2005, p.78]

If you want a game featuring the two teams going head to head, track down a copy of the superior Capcom VS SNK 2. The graphics are better, as is the sound.

Completely average. As it retains none of the high standard of precision on show in Capcom and SNK titles of old, it is useless for tournament play, losing the so-called ‘hardcore’ vote immediately. Visually, the game loses a lot in transition to the PS2. [JPN Import]

Playing SNK Vs Capcom SVC Chaos, among today’s flash beat-em-ups, is comparable to watching Star Wars directly after the Matrix - cheap and shoddy.

Daren K. gave it a9:
I'm giving it 9 because it is one of the most exciting one to one combat as you'll always crave to win by giving out the best combination of powers and time. Human to computer is best only for practicing your special moves. It makes you want to learn more characters and create your own special moves combine from the standard powers. EXTREME!!! Love it...... among the rest !

MrGuitarDeath gave it a7:
The game plays a lot like an instrument and the A.I. is just incredible.....I swear I am playing against a person!!!....?!!!!!! The blocking and counters after a missed move need worked on greatly though. They play to the computers favor 90% of the time. Blocking in the air is an absolute must and the match time needs to be lengthened. Fix this and make the music and backrounds even more exotic and hypnotic and you have the greatest 2-D fighter ever.... Feel free to contact me for 2-D fighting game beta testing, lol

Chris K. gave it a7:
its a killer game, but im very disappointed with the gameplay.... if it were a seperate rating i would give the gameplay a 4 or a 5, its so messed up gameplay wise that even fans would be dissapointed!!!!

Jacob D. gave it a9:
This is probably the most underated fighting game ever. sure the graphics arent great but it was created on a 24bit neogeo system, what do you expect. however, this game has some of the best gameplay ever in fighting game and any true 2d fighter fan will agree with me.

Jimmi A. gave it a7:
Its a good 2D fightning game. Not the best, not the worst.

Dante' S gave it a5:
It lacks alot of the good charecters of the SNK VS Capcom games the focuse was put on shotoken style of Karate rather than Kungfu or any other variety of martial arts combat. It reminds me of the first Streetfighter Alpha meaning alright concept sucky game play.
