Game Informer
I think kids are going to find Tarzan Untamed cool enough, but due to its oft-frustrating difficulty, only the most determined will make any headway into the game. [Jan 2002, p.78]
Electric Playground
A fun game overall with some adrenaline-raising gameplay, but lacking any real depth, Tarzan does a good job of being what it is; a pick-up-and play game that's more than just a few jungle levels with Tarzan running and swinging.

Untamed true fun lies in its extreme sports-type levels. [Jan 2002, p.141]
IGN
The game is perhaps a little too easy for the serious player and it offers no real incentive to return once it's beaten...The graphics "pop" better in the GameCube version.

A pretty short game that doesn't have either multi-player or additional hooks beyond its ability to let kids relive the tree-surfing and water-rafting antics that the character engaged in during the movie.

"Rayman 2," "Klonoa 2," and "Jak and Daxter" are all members of the same genre as Tarzan Untamed--adventure--and each does the two things Tarzan Untamed fails to do: impress visually and last beyond a weekend.

This sickly 3D adventure is plagued by endless repetition, frustrating controls, bland graphics, and just plain boring level design.
