Lack of a decent replay, lack of injuries, the occasional quirky fielding, and squatty player models. But honestly EA and Treyarch have put forth a nice product, making several improvements over the PSX versions of the game. The implementation of the pressure-sensitive buttons adds a whole new dimension to the game.

Sound effects are good, and the inflated hitting physics that let you send the ball over the wall more often are fun--if that's what you're looking for.

A few minor lapses in realism won't get in the way of Triple Play's addicting gameplay.

If you are more interested in a game that looks great and has easy controls and simplified gameplay, then Triple Play Baseball is the right title for you.

Triple Play may not be the smartest or most realistic baseball video game, but its definitely the best-looking one.

If you are looking for an arcade type baseball game where you can pick up a controller and start knocking the ball around the park in your first game, you will enjoy this game.

The controls are almost too easy. Some may be disappointed that you are forced to use the analog stick, both when batting and when pitching.

A good game of arcade style baseball, but it doesn't offer much in the way of customization and lacks many of the features that were in previous games in the series.

While not quite "EA-like," Triple Play is a good, upbeat baseball game with realistic, engaging gameplay.

Just enough to satisfy the average player without including statistical and gameplay options that would have stretched the release date and production costs out to an unacceptable level.

If what you want is a sim, look elsewhere...It looks great, sounds great and most importantly plays great.

With realism aside, I still had a hard time hating this game. It is fun; I just had to forget all I know about baseball.

Triple Play's biggest new feature -- cursor-based pitching and batting -- is also its biggest shortcoming.
