Summary
(Currently available in the UK/EU only) Taste the physical extremes of rally driving and battle your way past your opponents in grueling multi-car wheel-to-wheel racing. Prepare for the unexpected as driver and co-driver negotiate on-track dangers - evade the wreckage of rival cars, navigate through flooded stages, and dodge crumbling walls and tumbling rocks. More cars than ever before from rally's past, present and future are brought to life in realistically interactive surroundings - drive over 40 awesome vehicles through rivers, raging fires, dense smoke and debris strewn terrain. Jolt Online Gaming UK
It might not be the most truthful representation of the sport, but WRC: Rally Evolved offers a complete celebration of it.

Challenging but accessible, WRC is a brilliant rally sim, and the random events that spice up every race make it a seriously good ride. [Nov 2006, p.136]
Pelit (Finland)
An enjoyable rally game. Interactive events add excitement while the co-driver delivers the humour. Not so realistic, but fun to play. [Dec 2005]
Games Radar UK (Pre-2006)
The speed and presentation are now beyond reproach, pace notes are excellent and the cars never feel too 'safe' even when you're dialled in. Great stuff. [PSM2]

It's the best rally game out there, it's fantastic fun and that's all you really need to know.

Owners of last year's game will find little to justify the outlay on the latest instalment. As the title suggestions, it's very much 'evolution' rather than 'revolution' this time around. [PSW]

The game that will take Rally to the mainstream with its pick up and play gameplay, multiple game modes, rally cross and just generally its fun to play.

For new players to the series, WRC: Rally Evolved is the game to get - the handling is the best in the series and the game's driver aids will help you get into things, you'll also enjoy the exciting stages.

While the handling and aesthetics are very well implemented, the experience is deflated by the anaemic three-stages-per-round structure.

It's lovely to look at, technically sound, and blessed with too many pleasing touches to recount here. Equally, though, its structure is woefully unimaginative, and no amount of throwaway gimmicks can disguise that fact.

The aesthetic improvements are welcome by all means but although it may sound trite, the lack of any serious innovation means that this is one for fans of the sport or the series only.

Matthew P. gave it an8:
very good game. very relistic should have more stages in each rally.
Christopher R. gave it a10:
It deserves a 10 because it is probably the only driving game up to date where it really feels you are part of a living, breathing world. It makes all other driving games look clean, boring, plain and dead. Don't believe the average or bad reviews.
Peter G. gave it a6:
nothing new here. the interactivity is a nice touch but a minor detail after all. car physics are not up there either. the most horrifying is the sound and in particular the engine sound. just plain bad. it's the worst of the series (except for the first). rent only
[anonymous] gave it a9:
An excellent game that has something for everyone. Easy to pick and play for casual gamers and provides lasting challenge for the more hardcore. Looks as good as it plays.
Mike W. gave it a9:
Wow. its such a good game. The main championship get steadily harder as you go on, but all routes are very well done. I have actually just driven round slow looking at the scenery. Its brilliant. And the random feature is very good. In all a ver good game
