Summary
(Downloadable Game) Use your construction skills to save elephants from a dangerous fall! In the puzzle game Elefunk, your elephants must traverse 20 levels of ravines, rivers, fire pits and swamps – and they'll only get across if you strengthen the structures correctly with metal, wood and rope. It's real construction with realistic physics and three different game modes: Time Attack, Puzzle, and Deconstruction. Get building today! Puzzle Mode – Beginning with an empty level, the player constructs a structure using the limited number of pieces given. There is no time limit, and the next level is unlocked when the player successfully aids the elephant in traversing the level's ravine. Time Attack – This mode is played on previously unlocked levels. The player begins with a partially constructed structure and has to finish the structure with the limited materials given in a certain time limit. Once the counter reaches zero, the elephants are released! Deconstruction Multiplayer – This two-player mode can be played either on-or-offline. In each round, a player tries to remove a piece of the structure that is holding an elephant without causing the elephant to fall. When a player causes the elephant to fall, the round is over and a point is awarded to his opponent. When all rounds have been played, a winner is declared. [SCEA]

Elefunk is a puzzle game with which both architects and normal gamers will have much fun. The building of bridges needs insight, but are never impossible to solve. More levels would have been nice and we also had some trouble with framedrops. Anyway, this game is well done.

Don't be fooled by the cute elephants - this is puzzling at its most brutal. [Sept 2008, p.98]

Elefunk is sublime in concept -- ultimately addictive and quite entertaining, despite a steep learning curve.

A steep learning curve, but the satisfaction on offer is immense. [Oct 2008, p.78]
Gamer 2.0
It's certainly an enjoyable experience at a cheap price that you'll be willing to play every once in a while when the more elaborate games in your collection are not what you're looking to play.

As unpolished as some aspects of the game may be, there's no denying its overall charm and at five dollars it's hard not to recommend. At the very least, you'll have greater respect for the next overpass.

The difficulty curve may be steep and the trial and error extremely plentiful, but Elefunk is a charming puzzler that can keep you engaged -- if you don't get frustrated by being stuck on the same stage.

Despite a cruel learning curve this bridge-building puzzle game is both fun and unique.

Elefunk is a nice, addictive puzzle title with enough levels to make it worth the initial download.

For anyone into their puzzle games it’s a well crafted, tough little title with decent presentation, neat controls and (hopefully) the prospect of downloadable treats in the future. See you on the scoreboards!

Coming in to a game with a preconception of its value is a difficult idea to change, but after playing it through I have simply come to the conclusion that it is a great puzzler for the money (yes, even our money). America is simply getting a fantastic deal.

A challenging change of pace from the usual twin stick shooters that seem to populate the PlayStation Store lately.

Depends too much on trial and error. [Issue#170, p.91]
