Game Chronicles
Other than the horrible fiasco with the graphics it is hard not to tell everyone to get this game right now.

With solid gameplay and a great presentation, Kung Fu Panda is easy to recommend to fans of the movie or parents looking to entertain their kids with a robust yet accessible action platformer.

While the loss of online multiplayer hurts, there is a great deal to like here.

This is one of the better movie-to-game conversions I have ever had the opportunity to play. Even though it is on the easy side, children and adults will enjoy the story and the various challenges that will await them.

Kung Fu Panda is definitely one of the better movie-inspired games I've played. The combat system as well as the puzzle-platforming style of the game work well together, and the whole game is fun to play.

It looks and sounds good, it flows well, it has enough variety so it’s not too repetitive, and anybody can pick it up and play, even though there is a decent amount of depth.

From beginning to end, it’s an entertaining mix of bracing combat, polished platforming, and a good dollop of humor.

Panda Kung Fu is a fun game that shows very good attention to level design and creative game making. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this one folks because it will appeal to a wide audience.

Kung Fu Panda the game will entertain you or your kids, which is more than you can say for most games in general, let alone ones based on a summer film.

The game feels like it was a labor of love, and in the end it delivers a short-but-sweet little adventure that does both the movie and the target audience justice.

The only thing that is better than a good game, is a game that everyone expects will be bad, and turns out to be pretty good after all. Kung Fu Panda is such a game, which offers a fun, easy going experience coupled with some action, some platforming, and even a few role-playing elements.

Kung Fu Panda is a brief romp, but one that will keep young gamers interested from start to finish. Heck, maybe they’ll even play through it a second or third time. Just remember, the title won’t do much for anybody that would consider themselves a regular gamer.

The lack of variety is actually a good thing. In an area of game development where being overly ambitious can destroy you, developer Luxoflux has instead created a smart, focused, and (most importantly) polished effort that should delight young fans of the film.

Here's a good example of how to translate an animation movie to a videogame.

A surprisingly deep multi-player mode. [Sept 2008, p.78]

It's a fine example of how licensed games should be done. [Sept 2008, p.96]

Kung Fu Panda is not really hard to play, but it is a perfect game for your leisure time. Especially younger gamers will be happy with it.

One of the most entertaining licensed games of recent times, without it being innovative. The gameplay is decent and diverse and the graphics are good for a product like this. It’s a little on the short side, but if you enjoyed the movie you’ll have a hard time not enjoying this colorful action game.

The game's only major flaw is it's length--the single-player can be completed in a paltry four to six hours--but still, it's definitely worth purchasing for the kids. [Sept 2008, p.78]
Games Master UK
A well-executed tie-in aimed squarely at the movie's target audience. Old 'uns, steer clear. [Sept 2008, p.69]
GameDaily
The multiplayer modes aren't bad, but you have to unlock most of them and they're strictly off-line.

The difficulty is perfect for the younger crowd, but late teens on up won't find much more than a 6-hour romp here.
A simple, fun and well designed game, Kung Fu Panda doesn't offer the deepest narrative or most though-provoking gameplay for the more mature audiences; it's more of a guilty pleasure.
