Vandal Online
Milestone has achieved what many didn't believe: to exceed the previous title in the franchise and moreover focus the game to be approachable by any kind of player (from simulation to arcade) and enhance some lacking aspects of the last game (graphics and tuning options).

Milestone's love for SBK means 09 is authentic, enthusiastic and entertaining. [Aug 2009, p.68]

SBK09 is simulation with good handling and all of the popular drivers and tracks from the actual season. An interesting game for racing fans.

SBK-09 is a good looking gaming. The race feeling is realistic, there are a lot of bikes and drivers to choose for and all the official circuits are available. The flaw of the game is the lack of modes. This is the reason that the game is getting boring over time and that SBK-09 is only interesting for real racing fans.

SBK-09's overall implementation pushes your patience instead of your PS3. [July 2009, p.105]
PSM3 Magazine UK
There's very little for bike-sim fans to complain about, but equally little to win over new comers to this niche genre. [July 2009, p.76]
XGN
Everything this game needs is there, all the teams and drivers are complete and even the umbrella girls are included. However, SBK 09 is far too complex, which makes it hard to just start a simple race. But because the game has this much details, it's a awesome game for the motorbike fans.

There’s depth here – you can tool about with settings, text chat to your engineers and view race telemetry – but it will frustrate some. The racing itself, though, is good. SBK fans will likely have a lot of time for this title. Solid, but not for everyone. [Aug 2009, p.68]

V V gave it a9:
Excellent simulation once again from Milestone and a better game compared with SBK08 (which was already a fantastic game), played in simulation settings you get one of the best simulations on the market today. The graphics are much better now, they are crisp and very detailed, the circuits and the races in general feel more alive this time. The game is hard when played with the helps off (simulation) but it is very customisable and you can make it suit your style of racing. Menus are better this time but still kind of slow and clumsy and save/load times are on the long side. Amazing game never the less.
