For a truly surreal experience, take Hot Shots out to the course during your next 18, and play a hole or two in between real holes. The only danger there is the rest of your group might become too hooked on what you're doing on Open Tee rather than finishing the real round.

Where the entry really shines, though, is multiplayer. Two-person matches, eight-player tournaments, and two-player miniature golf rounds are all seconds away. Each plays fabulously and really uses the PSP hardware well. [July 2005, p.127]

The biggest sacrifice is course variety, which wouldn’t be so bad if developer Clap Hanz hadn’t artificially lengthened the game by making you progress so slowly. The game is still quite fun, and even with only six courses, it will keep you entertained for quite a while. [JPN Import]

Notably absent from the multiplayer options is a mode that allows you to play a multiplayer game with a single copy of the game. It's not often that you're going to get eight PSPs and eight copies of the game into the same place at once, so it's kind of odd that there's no provision for a good old-fashioned session of "pass the PSP." Shame.

This is a great game! Fun and challenging at the same time. Graphics are good & game play is very good.

Mike G. gave it a10:
extremely high replay value, is truely a classic, patiently waiting for a sequal with different course styles. reminds me of mario golf for the nes with better grapics. only complaint is that you don't know the wind speed per hole til after tee off.

Cam S. gave it a10:
Best PSP game available!

James H. gave it an8:
Fun golf game, funny but the repetive voice overs are annoying.

Rohan S. gave it a10:
This game is awsome. Its so addicting. I would reccomend this game for everyone. Once you start palying u never want to put it down. try it yourself.

Nick S. gave it an8:
The game has excellent graphics and is addictive at first. However I would question the replay value. Once I have uncovered all the golf courses, I am finding it very hard to find a good reason to complete the game entirely just to pick clothes and accessory items. Tiger Woods career seems more plausible.

1mmora1 Wombat gave it a9:
superb game only let down by not including a multipayer mode that lets you play using only 1 psp. PS2 version had you passing the control pad between players. either way, so much fun, and so addictive.
