Summary
The game commences in the aftermath of a hostile ground invasion of Earth by ravaging Alien forces. Mankind is threatened with near extinction. All large-scale resistance has been swept aside. The purpose of the invasion is unknown, but to the horror of all, the surviving humans begin to hear rumours of Droning - Aliens reprogramming and adapting captured humans into Cyborg warriors and slaves. Earths last hope is Lieutenant Vaughan, one of the few remaining resistance fighters. He must battle against Cyborg humans, much more powerful than a man and utterly remorseless in combat. [Sony]

PSX Nation
It can be really fun when the wonky camera and the troublesome lock-on control dont get in the way, but once the rides over theres no incentive to go back (i.e. no multiplayer mode).

A cyborg action-adventure bursting with great gameplay. [July 2002, p.82]
GameZone
It's very fulfilling and a challenge. The graphics are very good, and the music sets a appropriate mood. If not for some camera issues and a bit of "unfair" attacks here and there, I'd rate it higher.

It stacks up well against the graphics of something like "Syphon Filter," which is what it ought to be compared to. [August 2002, p.20]
GamePro
If a Playstation is all you have and three Syphon Filters just isn't enought, then C-12 is worthy of your attention. [August 2002, p.86]

If you're not able to get your hands on a next-gen system, C-12 is probably the best thing to satiate your Playstation desires. [July 2002, p.89]
IGN
It's just not that fun and the camera ruins much of what could be fun. I was repeatedly frustrated trying to kill lame enemies while looking at stale, last-generation graphics.

Don't let the staggeringly dull, generic name fool you: C-12 has mood, challenge and even something of a personality, but with the dated gameplay and visuals, it just takes some time to see it...perhaps longer than many gamers will be willing to wait.

A strictly average action game that may interest the few players who haven't graduated to a newer system, but serious gamers will pass it over for something a little more modern.

It's hard to call a game good when it features such shoddy controls and camera positioning. [July 2002, p.102]
Electronic Gaming Monthly
It's all here in one craptastic package that's destined for the bargain bins. [July 2002, p.128]
Gaming Age
If you've got a real "post-apocalyptic-fight-the-aliens-and-robots" itch to scratch, then you might get a kick out of this one. Anyone else will become bored far too quickly to bother.
