Players play as the Chipmunks as they rock their way to the top of the charts by winning the ultimate battle of the bands contest, Rockathonapalooza. Alvin and The Chipmunks features fun music gameplay, popular licensed songs spanning many different eras, and a variety of play modes including multiplayer, mini-games and more. Live out rock stardom dreams with the power trio of Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Sing and play along to a deep soundtrack featuring popular licensed songs from many different era's including some of the original Chipmunk classics. Comical storyline surrounding the Chipmunk's universe. Challenge friends thru multiplayer including head to head mode. Offers a variety of mini-games mixed with core gameplay to keep the flow varied and exciting. Various levels of difficulty will keep players of all ages engaged.

I would fully recommend this game to people who know a little one who loves music, and is just starting to get into the world of video gaming.

Though largely inoffensive in its sloppiness, Alvin and the Chipmunks amounts to a forgettable budget title priced like a premium release this holiday season - as if you needed another reason to abstain from it.

When you can't fail a song, your character models don't even seem to be performing while tracks are playing in the background, and there's no impact on how the Chipmunks play, you realize that this is a weak attempt at cashing in on the upcoming movie, one that's being sold at full price instead of at a discount, no less.

Not worth the money. 10 minutes of Call of Duty 4 beats this whole game.

Underrated. I felt this game was better then Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Call of Duty 4, and Team Fortress 2 combined with Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time.
