IGN

An impressive set-up -- no denying that. Bit Boy capitalizes on the retro revival craze by offering an intriguing tale of time travel, with its hero visiting six different eras of gaming history.

Nice idea for the story, but the gameplay is trivial and the graphic creep.

Nintendo Life

Summing it up Bit Boy!! is a great concept for a game and it was interesting to see the interpretation of each gaming generation. The core gameplay in Bit Boy!! isn't terrible, but features serious flaws in the sheer volume of enemies on screen at one time and also the amount of life-sapping dead ends – a hallmark of poor game design.

Had so much potential, but this is ultimately a waste of Points. There are countless better games out there.

sam t gave it a0:
The worst designed game i have ever seen or played. i have been a gamer for 2- years and i can not appreciate this garbage. the total time it takes to complete the game is roughly 20 - 30 minutes but by that time i was already bored of it. It does a terrible job representing the progress of videogames especially the 16 bit era and 128 bit. Also the music is decidedly 4-bit the whole time. the idea is good but the execution is crap. It makes me thin kthat anyone who would give this game a 10 is an employee of bplus. For your wii point, there are much much much better games to purchase.

Matt L gave it a10:
For anyone interested in old-school collect-em-ups, this game is perfect and extremely addictive. BPlus have succeeded in creating a game that accurately spans each generation of gaming, and if you've been a keen gamer through those generations you'll certainly be impressed with the level of detail that has gone into making the experience so authentic. This game really comes alive if you take advantage of the 2-player co-operative mode. Collecting Kubi's friends and escaping the myriad of monsters becomes an hilarious experience when shared. Obviously this game is not for everyone. Those looking for a lasting single-player game may be disappointed, but then it is meant as an high score challenge, and the addictive nature of breaking your personal bests should keep you coming back for more.

K Bd gave it a3:
While recent indie games for WiiWare have been excellent (bit.trip series) or fun enough and beautiful to look at (Eduardo, Lit) this game has very little to offer. A "neat" idea destroyed by a near impossible bit of play control. I have to say I would not recommend this game to anyone unless their sole purpose of buying it was to support some indie creators in hopes that thier next effort was better.
