While this title shows some promise, it clearly needed some more time in development before it was released.

Worth Playing

There's nothing in particular to recommend Brave: A Warrior's Tale beyond the budget price and vaguely interesting mythology.

It borders on almost too easy at times and the adventure is short, but it will deliver the fundamentals of the past time as well as moments of brilliance thanks to the diverse mechanics. Unfortunately for this little warrior his adventure arrived a decade too late.

The gameplay and story are worked together nicely, and the level design is paced well. The entire production, however, is just so outdated.

There are moments in Brave which impress, but these moments are invariably surrounded by frustration, boredom, and lots of head-scratching.

Game Chronicles

Considering the relatively short gameplay length (the entire storyline can be completed in a single sitting), and the frustrating controls – there’s little reason any seasoned gamer would want to go through all of the trouble.

Digital Chumps

A run-of-the-mill action/adventure game—sort of a Zelda game for kids with some pretty serious mechanical issues under the hood.

All in all Brave: A Warriors Tale is a quite good platformer, but the camera and the controls will destroy every kind of fun.

GameFocus

Were it not for the utter lack of care that went into fixing the numerous issues here, Brave: A Warrior’s Tale would be easy to recommend for the younger set that have yet to discover Mario or Zelda. As it stands, this is a decent game that seems like the developers gave up on before it was officially completed.

IGN

It's expected that a family friendly title may not have the depth some are looking for, but that doesn't mean it should be given a free pass when it's this sloppily thrown together.

Even at a lower price, Brave is not worth the effort of playing.

Meristation

Brave is a very poor game that isn't able to shine above all the other platform games because of his lame graphics, null gameplay innovation and a story that has nothing at all to tell. It's a strange port from the PlayStation 2. You'd better stick with the original one instead of wasting your money in this Brave: A Warrior's Tale.

It might be interesting at a low price for low expectations, but experienced players should stay two meters from it.
