Summary
The evil Don Hedron has descended upon the peaceful forest with Black Water and it's up to Dewy, a small droplet of water, to eliminate the terrible scourge and save the towering Elder Tree. Take control of Dewy using the Wii Remote, rolling him around the environment and using special elemental powers with unique gesture-based controls to take on the dastardly forces of Don Hedron. Control heat and cold to transform Dewy into ice and steam to solve puzzles and restore a beautiful world of peace! Unleash special elemental powers with the Wii Remote to take on enemies and solve puzzles - shoot bolts of lightning, create earthquakes or wind and more. Control temperature that heat or cool Dewy down to turn him into ice and steam for even more choices in battle. [Konami]

Official Nintendo Magazine UK
Konami's willingness to put the Wii's controls to good use without making a gimmick-laden game pays off once again - Dewy is great fun, if slightly infuriating for all the right reason. [Dec 2007, p.78]
Gaming Age
Dewy's Adventure has some great ideas and many gamers will like the simple pleasures it provides, but hardcore platform fans will breeze right though this one like a box of Oreos.

With levels and controls akin to Marble Madness, as well as slick platforming elements and a refreshing combat mode, Dewy's Adventure will satisfy the kid in you, while maintaining an environmentally conscious message without being overly preachy.

Konami has done a very good job in creating another cool and likeable hit for kids with a Wii.

It marries the Wii's control system with good old-fashioned puzzle-platforming; its scope isn't exactly broad, and not everyone will love the controls, but any fan of this endangered genre will find something to like in its reflex-testing level geometry or amusing puzzles, if not its gaudy looks.

Finding all one hundred of Dewy's friends, known as the Eaus, on every level is a real challenge, so the replay value is there.

Dewy’s Adventure feels like a full-blown game rather than a collection of brief remote-based tasks that have seemingly become the Wii norm lately. [Oct 2007, p.125]
Nintendo Power
If you can preserve through one world, though, the rest of Dewy's Adventure offers a pretty good time. [Nov 2007, p.99]
Kombo
If you can get past the obnoxious level of cuteness and wearisome controls, though, you'll uncover a cheerfully fun Wii platformer.

It's too bad the developers felt they could coast along on the strength of a handful of good ideas. [Ocvt 2007, p.121]

Dewey is a little over the top for older gamers, but a little too complicated for really young gamers. Either way it provides a decent amount of fun and a very unique take on your average water droplet.
Dewy's Adventure has all the conceptual makings of a great platformer, but in the end the developer's ambition has fallen short of that goal due in large to the title's control scheme, which never feels tight and responsive and always feels slow and occasionally even unpredictable.

From the makers of the brilliant "Eledees" this is a confused let-down. Worth a rent at best. [Dec 2007, p.75]
The Wiire
Dewy's Adventure lacks the focus of a dedicated puzzle game or platformer, but to its credit, it is the only game that has tried to put those genres together. The developers pursued a risky experiment, and the results are sometimes frustrating.
Dewy’s Adventure is too simple for experienced gamers, placing far more emphasis on its “hey, neato!” motion sensitive controls than on actual gameplay.
For those tempted to play a different kind of platformer, Dewy's Adventure may be very attractive. However, it may also become infuriating due to the peculiar playability.

Although it seems to be designed for a younger audience, it feels best suited for veteran gamers that struggle to find the challenge and difficulty of games from the past. If you belong to the last category you might be thrown off by its childish looks. If you belong to the first, you might not react well to its frustrating moments. [Jan 2008]
NintendoWorldReport
Those willing to put the time in to grasp the game’s frustrating controls (Monkey Ball maniacs perhaps) will most likely squeeze a lot of fun out of the game. The rest of us, however, are better off steering clear.

I just can’t imagine how a youngster without all of my adult patience would feel playing this game thinking it’s the one to get while waiting for a Mario title. Make no mistake: this is not Super Mario Galaxy; it’s more like Wii’s Lair.
There are some rough spots, and it’s far too challenging for its preschool target audience, but older players that can get past the glucose-coated exterior will find it to be a decent platformer with a fair share of challenge.

The unique gameplay is appealing, but the lack of depth and variety is disappointing.

It's a disheartening slurp backwards when compared to "Eledees," but there are enough unique ideas here to warrant a rental when it comes out in the UK. [JPN Import; Nov 2007, p.46]

Dewy's Adventure has some admirable qualities to it, but the control issues keep it from truly shining.
Unfortunately, for all its charm and interesting controls, the game is seriously hard. It requires a large degree of precision and finesse in your movements--a single misstep and you can wave goodbye to Dewy.
Read Full Review >Cheat Code Central
A fairly disappointing title. It is clearly marketed to a younger audience but because it is so hard to control Dewy, it will most likely turn them away.
The meat of the game remains enjoyable yet underwhelming. [Dec 2007, p.96]
Zentendo
The poor camera work and awkward controls work against the player, leaving them with a frustrating experience few will have the patience to put up with.

Mister D. gave it an8:
This game is suprisingly good. There's a fair amount of levels, with plenty of unlockables. The ability to create your own levels and determine the amount of enemies within them is fun and great for multiplayer gaming. Very charming and fun for all ages although may be a little frustrating at times.
Ettörillö P. gave it a9:
With a friendly concept design this game invites you to go through many levels with great challenge. I'm a hardcore player & i think this isn't an easy game. Complex but intuitive playability justified to get more fun. Good replay value & innovative boss battles. Not too deep but quit addictive. I buy a game every week & this is one of those really few games that i've played constantly until the end. Recomended.
K. D. gave it a3:
Not very good at all. Too childish / easy for anyone over the age of 12. Arguably too hard for anyone under the age of 12... You tilt the remote to move around, so the few children I've seen play this game over-exaggerate the movements and lose quite quickly. I can't recommend this game at all - the gameplay is simple, repetitive and boring. Marble Madness and Mercury Meltdown are both far superior to Dewy.
Marcial C. gave it a9:
Simplistic but entirely Innovative game play and environmental design. The opening sequence is dubbed kind of cheesy but the game more than makes up for it, as it is truly the important part.
