All in all Hasbro Family Game Night is not without niggles and annoyances, but it still represents decent value given the cost of the physical games and there are a number of nice touches to keep your interest, such as the unlockable items and customisable game room.

IGN
A collection of board game classics that succeeds when those classics are represented well, but isn't nearly so fun when too many liberties are taken or too many control issues get in the way of enjoying each design in the way it was originally intended.

Hasbro Family Game Night is a great collection of well-translated board games that makes for a fun night in with your family and friends. None of the six games are stinkers and one or two of them are even arguably better than their board-based equivalents (Battleships and Boggle, take a bow).

Game Night is definitely the way to go if you don't own the original games, or if you're too lazy to drag them out of the closet.

It does everything it's supposed to, offers a multitude of modes for each separate game and has an interesting take on a party mode - everybody's bound to find some variety they like in there somewhere.

Here I sit on a cold December night in 21st century Britain. I am a 31 year-old woman. I have a degree. I am playing virtual Yahtzee with a computer-generated version of Mr Potato Head. I feel sick.

Gamestyle
Hasbro Family Game Night is a solid performer in the party genre. What it lacks in madness and addictive mini-games, it overcomes by providing good, informative, challenging and traditional entertainment.

The innovation of the new Wii gameplay modes is dulled by the fact you're playing a game you probably already own in its 'real' form. [Feb 2009, p.65]

Would I go to a party, when folks there only play Hasbro Family Game Night? Not really! Although the games can entertain you for a short time, their real-life alter-egos are more fun to play.

This isn't necessarily a bad game per se, but it's simply uninspiring. The content is meager and what's in here doesn't really do it's job particularly well. There are a lot of minigame collections on the Wii that offer you a whole lot better content than this.

Paul S gave it a4:
Not too bad a game, but completely uninspiring. not sure what age range this si for, kids found the controls too difficult, and Grandparents found the game to complex to follow. Gave up after 30 mins which is a pity.
