Summary

Captain Olimar has returned to the planet where it all began, but this time he hasn't crash-landed, now it's all about business. Captain Olimar's company is going bankrupt, therefore in order to save it, Olimar has to return and salvage the treasure strewn all over the planet. His company's debt is a whopping 10,000 pokos so this task is almost too much for one man to handle. Luckily, his trusty assistant, Louie, has joined him this time, so if the two of them can delegate their work well, they should be able to repay the company's debts in no time!

Five years have gone since the release of Pikmin 2, but the magical atmosphere of the game still remains. The game’s combination of RTS and puzzle-solving is as good as ever and the cute little pikmins are just so… well, cute. The NPC controls slightly better than the original ones (which were good). The only minor complaint is about the camera, which doesn’t always turn the way you want. If you didn’t play the original, you should try this one out. [June 2009]

Compared to the original Pikmin, New Play Control! Pikmin 2 is better in every aspect. The game is more divers and strategic because of the two new Pikmin species. New Play Control! Pikmin 2 is also very lengthy and an entertaining multiplayer mode is included. The only big disappointment is that the controls aren't that special and new as stated in the game title.
