Summary
The Rabbids first comedy-adventure takes them to the moon or bust. Those crazy Rabbids have an infallible plan: collect all the human stuff they can find, heap it onto a giant pile and literally climb home to the moon. But not so fast. The Humans revolt, unleashing the Verminators whose only objective is to exterminate the Rabbids. Rabbids Go Home game features include: The Rabbids First Comedy-Adventure: Control two Raving Rabbids and their shopping cart and cause mayhem in a world full of uptight Humans with shopping on the brain. Collect varying sizes of human stuff to build the Rabbids sky-high pile of junk in their quest to reach the moon. Make a huge mess and provoke hilarious situations in over 15 striking game environments: Scour through supermarkets, race across rooftops, jet past airports and boost through the Bayou, visiting the game's unique take on everyday places. Play over 40 missions: Race, chase, boost and generally run amok while scaring the Humans right down to their undies - literally! Ridicule reams of relentless enemies and their nasty pooches in an increasingly paranoid world of Rabbid-haters. Unique Art Direction: Encounter a cast of colorful, oddball characters and explore a remarkable parody of the modern world as if you were living inside an interactive cartoon! Variety of Gameplay: Soup up your shopping cart with a Jet Ski, an airplane reactor, or a hospital Bubble Bed to wreak endless havoc everywhere you turn. Learn to pilot your cart while boosting, jumping, gliding, floating and flying. [Ubisoft]

If you love the Rabbids or just want a great game for your Wii, don't hesitate and take the Rabbids home.

The Rabbids can pull off a fully fledged game without Rayman's assistance. This is witty, charming and, above all, incredible fun.

Finally they have their own adventure and Ubisoft has managed to deliver. Rabbids Go Home showcase the rabbids to the fullest. They remain stupid and the local population will get to know them for that. If they ever reach the moon? Buy the game and find out. All I can say is that they are darn resilient.

Witty, energetic and hugely entertaining, even if it isn't particularly smart. [Winter 2009, p.72]

Overall, though, Rabbids Go Home is a fun, often hilarious reboot of a franchise that desperately needed one.

In a nutshell, Rabbids Go Home is an incredibly entertaining game that's almost sure to please ... if you can get past its repetitive nature.

Rabbids Go Home is not a Raving Rabbids sequel, but an altogether different experience -- one far more inspired and ambitious. This title at times feels like an action romp and at times a platformer on wheels, but regardless of the scenario, you'll be having fun and smiling if not laughing.

If you have any inkling to play this game, you are likely to be caught in its zany madness and love it the more you play it.

Rabbids Go Home is a pretty fat package, with loads of cool extras. The Rabbids channel is an inspired addition, and the level play of the main game is rock solid throughout.

Rabbids Go Home is addictive and insanely funny in its own, unique way. Despite the fact the game tends to repeat itself after a certain time, it offers enough clever moments to stay entertaining.

It's an absolute hoot but if you're after a meaty challenge, you definitely won't find it here.

A surprisingly fun romp from start to finish, Rabbids Go Home is a unique experience that takes what is usually the tedious task of collecting, and makes it entirely fun. If you own a Wii and love to laugh, you’ll definitely want to give these wacky Rabbids a shot.

Rabbids Go Home is a strong recovery for the Rabbids franchise, shying away from the mini game conglomerations we've been accustomed to and bringing an entirely new adventure to the table featuring these misunderstood creatures.

Rabbids go Home is a simple, yet original and very enjoyable action game, full of moments that are gonna make you laugh out loud. In short terms, it's a lot of fun.

The humor and ever changing gameplay provides a rip-roaring experience that you’ll be hard pressed to find in another game. Remember games are supposed to be fun and Rabbids Go Home is a fun-filled experience that shouldn’t be missed regardless of the score.

Even with the game's strength is its unusual and original tone, players can rest assured that this game is just as accessible as it is odd. Featuring an overdose of quirky charm and a wide range of fun-filled gameplay, gamers who aren't used to playing titles outside of the norm will be remiss if they don't give Rabbids Go Home a chance.

A crazy adventure filled with humor, charm and entertaining gameplay elements when the rabbit’s tries to reach the moon in a shopping cart.

The whole adventure is bonkers from start to finish, and it's all the better for it. Rabbids Go Home won't be held up alongside true genre classics, but it's one of the best Wii games released this year and is sure to put a smile on your face.

A pretty shallow experience, and I'm uncertain if the novelty of the formula can support the weight of annualized sequels. But these facts do nothing to diminish the fact that I spent nearly the entire eight-or-so hours with the game wearing a stupid grin on my face, probably looking something like the Rabbids on my screen.

Not everyone is going to enjoy this. Some people will never warm to Ubisoft's anarchic little fiends, many will find the constant enthusiasm draining. This isn't a purchase for hardcore enthusiasts or steely battlefield veterans with a thousand-yard stare and a pico-second response time. The rest of you, should you be able to engage your inner child, could well find a big old slice of the fun pie cooling on your windowsill.

Rabbids Go Home is an extremely entertaining and funny game – the Rabbids’ attitude and anarchic humour paper over a lot of the repetition and minor faults that pepper the game. The two player mode is passable but Rabbids Go Home excels as an all-out single player game, full of unexpected wit and a relentlessly fun atmosphere, and one you’ll love if you’re after a pick-up-and-play game to cheer up these dark Winter nights.

Rabbids Go Home is a humorous adventure that demonstrates the Rabbids are capable of staring in something other than a mini-game compilation. The game is full of wacky scenarios, has a visually appealing art direction and is just plain good fun.

Rabbids go Home is a very nice game which unfortunately scores bad on the graphics. Still Rabbids go Home is fun to play thanks to the nice gameplay and the overload of humour.

For the first time since the original, Ubisoft has been able to recapture what made this new, strange series so popular: inanity, and boatloads of it. The newest title is undoubtedly the best, and despite some faults, Rabbids Go Home is a success, and easily one of the best 3D platformer to hit the Wii since de Blob.

Rabbids Go Home, though at times repetitive, is a fun game with laugh-out-loud animations. Any game with Rabbids in fisticuffs over a pouch of Capri Sun is okay in my book.

Laughs and more laughs with the new adventure of crazy rabbits of Rayman. He isn't new but the Rabbids are the perfect protagonists of a great adventure with lots of exploration, humor and simplicity to manage. Ubisoft has done its work very well in almost all aspects of the game, only it has missed making a product less repetitive and more difficult.

Everything from the soundtrack (which features licensed tracks like "Somebody to Love" and "Me and Mrs. Jones") to the customization features to the virtual pet-style Rabbid-inside-your-Wii Remote bonus mode adds enough personality to the relatively simple platforming to make this worth playing.

We can say that this franchise of games with rabbits hasn’t stagnated in terms of concept. On the contrary, makes us recall to its initial roots, but with a new adventure so much fun where the laughter is uncontrollable.

"The rabbits can do much more than just play silly games, as Rabbids Go Home proves. Still, the creators didn't manage to create a challenging adventure game, because the game is too repetitive and easy. What remains is a good looking game that will make you laugh more then once, but never really becomes great.

It's a wholly entertaining romp filled with non-stop nonsense and inspired moments that set it apart from almost every other Wii game. [Christmas 2009, p.120]

The lack of multiplayer and the agonizing repetition still unfortunately knock this game a notch below its predecessors, but a few fantastic adventures toward the end await those who can pull through.

Repetition aside, Rabbids Go Home is still a worthy title just short of becoming a Wii classic.
The Rabbids are certainly the most endearing characters we've seen in recent years, but their offbeat charm isn't enough to carry this unoriginal and rather stale action-platform title. If this is the future of the Rabbids then they should most definitely go home and stay there.

[anonymous] gave it a6:
Too repetitive. Unless it gets better towards the end it's not worth buying. The previous Rabbids are more fun.
Brittany J gave it a10:
For an ultra blast of seriously stupid fun, this is the game for you. Perfect in every way, especially the fun factor, this has just become the best game I’ve ever played on the Wii. It is so over the top I can’t begin to describe it to you. If you like offbeat humor though, this game should be an instant classic for you.
Gail D gave it a9:
Bizarre, funny, clever, loony, challenging, addicting, I could go on and on about this games attributes. Just about everything in this game shines brightly. Just about the only thing I didn’t care for was the hub city, which you must go to in order to access the different levels throughout the game. The back and forth though tolerable could have been handled better. But you won’t have to spend too much time doing that, most of the game is spent on playing the actual levels, so this is only a minor annoyance. Other than that the game is awesome.
Miles T gave it a9:
The Rabbids finally get their own game, and I couldn’t be happier. But it’s not just the Rabbids that make this game great. Of course their wild antics are in full force here, but the other game characters are great too. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t elaborate on the other characters. But I WILL say that they fit into the Rabbids universe perfectly, with irreverent humor, absurd situations and just all around funny moments sprinkled throughout the game. Platforming has reached new highs. I anxiously await the sequel.
Bunny W gave it a10:
This game is twisted! Oh my god, finally, a game with sick but safe humor that my weird little kid can play. I say that with love, he gets the weird part from me. The crazy thing is, I’m enjoying this game as much as he is. The game is for ages 10 and up. I guess by “up” they mean EVERYONE can enjoy this game. As my son enjoys the crazy situations and the outlandish Rabbids (as do I, actually), adults will appreciate the humor that can be loved at any age. The game is smart without talking down to my son, but it’s accessible for him and is pretty clean for such an irreverent game. We’ll both be enjoying this game for a long time.
Frank G gave it a10:
What a pleasant surprise this game turned out to be. I heard that the game was going to feature the Rabbids without Rayman, but I didn’t know it was going to be a traditional game. I thought it was going to be another party game. Still, it’s just as good as I’d hoped it would be. The story and situations you get into are outlandish. I say that with great reverence for them being able to pull off such a cartoon crazy game and still make it funny instead of annoying. And it’s funny! It’s REALLY funny! At the end of each session my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. This game is the best, it’s a lot of fun in a time when we could all use a good laugh.
