Tiger Woods 10 on the Wii is the definitive golf game. Beyond the high level of immersion from the Motion Plus controls, and the many months worth of entertaining game modes, this version welcomes the widest ever audience to a "sim" sports game. EA is leveraging the Wii perfectly.

The addition of the Wii MotionPlus controller provides an incredibly realistic swing mechanic. That alone makes the purchase of Tiger Woods '10 for the Wii mandatory for anyone that has enjoyed previous versions but been frustrated by the lack of feel in the controller. You will not be disappointed!

A fantastic sports title that every Wii owner should try out. Sound and graphics aside, this game is one of the best sports titles ever released.

An excellent golf game. It's all there: plenty of courses, long career mode and realistic swing control with robust MotionPlus-support. [July 2009]

I don't often get the chance to say this, but here we have the combination of a development team at the top of their game, a technology that matches their requirements and a console in the perfect demographic. Out of this perfect storm comes the first game on the Wii I can whole heartedly endorse to anyone regardless of their age or gaming persuasion.

At the end of the day, EA Sports have created a truly remarkable golfing game on the Wii that proves that the Wii is not just for casual or social gamers.

With everything there is to do in this game, I don't know why you'd need another golf game next year, or hell, ever.

With the addition of MotionPlus, Woods 10 on the Wii is a fantastic golfing videogame, besting its console counterparts because of its control options, extra courses, party game modes, and Frolf. Not to mention, it's casual friendly for anyone to play, but with enough difficulty options for the hardcore to stay interested. It's almost hard to imagine it getting better than this for the foreseeable future.

Given all the ways you can play it, as well as the superb MotionPlus controls, the Wii version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is easily the best one. MotionPlus is a definite must-have in order to get the most out of the game, though.

Last year's version was phenomenal, but the option to use the Wii MotionPlus accessory makes Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 the most authentic sports video game I've every played. [July 2009, p.90]
IGN
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for Wii is the definitive golf game. It's filled to the top with content, sports spectacular controls enhanced by MotionPlus, and includes great Disc Golf and online modes. Seriously, this is an amazing package made all the better by the peripheral pack- in.

Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii is as close as you can get to a golf course without paying green fees.

The Wii MotionPlus definitely makes the game. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 might not have been as good of a game without the added control sensitivity and accuracy, but now it has evolved to the point that I can't imagine another golf game without it.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 on the Wii breathes new life into the franchise. Everybody golf clap, Tiburon has created a very robust, non-boring golf game where sim meets sport in a scalable experience. WiiMotionPlus brings unparalleled immersion to a game brimming with content, and this Wii title earns its place among the greats as the Tiger game golf fans have to own.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 isn’t the first perfect golf game, but it’s the closest anyone’s come yet. Despite some of the graphical hang-ups, and thanks to the immersive gameplay, EA has set a new bar for everyone to follow. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m late for my tee time.

EA deserves a ton of credit for delivering not only the best golf game ever (on any console,) but a definitive Wii experience to be placed alongside the best first-party titles on the console.

EA show us that they are one of Wii’s greatest advocates. Tiger Woods 10 provides a sublime genre-defining experience. Just make sure you have MotionPlus!

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be the reference for all the future games of the genre. Comparing it to other titles is impossible, due to the innovation and the possibilities implemented by the WiiMotion Plus. In addition there are a lot of options, the only downside being the graphics (good but no great). The WiiMotion Plus had convinced many critics, but now it appears absolutely essential.

Tiger Woods 10 with the motion plus, control wise, is really a leap forward in the genre that every fan of this sport should try. But keep in mind that without the new peripheral, the game is just a nice revision of the previous year version, in pure EA-style.

While the PS3 and 360 versions have a substantial aesthetic edge, the Tiger 10 Wiilease is easily the most realistic of the three, allowing players of all abilities to seamlessly enjoy a proper round of golf or a party game together, proof - if ever any was needed - that with some considered creative design, inclusion on the Wii doesn't need to involve dumbing everything down for the benefit of the lowest common denominator.

With excellent controls, a good amount of modes and a great gameplay experience, this Wii version scores better than its competitors. It's the best golf sim to date.

I honestly never thought I'd see the day where I would recommend a game on the Wii above its Hi-Def console counterparts, but it's genuinely here.

In summary Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 features brilliant graphics with perfectly balanced controls, offers excellent value and most importantly is fantastically fun and addictive.

In order to really appreciate the game at its fullest, you need to purchase the Bundle with the Wii MotionPlus add-on or obtain it some other way. You can still enjoy the game without the add-on, but you will not be getting the best experience and will envy those who are. Once you start playing it with it, you will wonder how you played any other golf game in the past.

There is a ton of content packed into this latest Tiger Woods (including MotionPlus if you opt for the bundle) – so much, we didn’t have space to mention everything in our review. Three games in one, real-time weather, online play, and more.

Warts and all, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is a revolution in the way golf games control. The new Wii MotionPlus controls are very good, but not amazing yet. If you can power through the early throes of career mode so your player is halfway decent, or are a huge fan of Disc Golf, then by all means pick up this game immediately. Just don't expect it to actually improve your golf swing.

Across the game’s several innovative features, a common thread ensures Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10’s status as a landmark Wii title — from stunningly accurate motion controls to allowing players to compete with the pros, this game was made to be the most immersive golf game of all-time. And it is.

With Motion Plus control proving a roaring success, Tiger Woods 10 is comfortably the most realistic golf sim out there. At times, it feels like this is precisely what the Motion Plus peripheral was made for and is a stunning demonstration of its potential. And for many sporting types, this will finally be the game that they bought a Wii for in the first place.

Rich Rich gave it an8:
Great game, but again EA TW has some annoying issues. (1) WHY EA? can't my name be more than 8 characters in length. (2) This is really annoying WHY EA? can't I have more than 3 friends, also the save block is in a single lump so even if you could make more golfers you simply can't. (3) While practicing multiple shot's from any poor lie, the lie changes. (4) WHY EA? does my putter have a maximum range, so anything over 100 feet is unreachable, selecting a chipping club is not possible.
Bill S gave it a7:
This is a really fun game with outstanding controlls and a long (yet fun) career mode. The Wii Motion Plus makes this game incredible! The problem however is when you play ranked matches online. It seems like everytime you are ahead, your opponent quits and you don't get credit for this win. Often this happens going into the 18th hole! This utterly ruins the online mode altogether. If EA can fix this than this game is a 9. If not it's still decent at a 7.
Dan S gave it an8:
The actual game is great, once you get there -- as everyone says. But the interface to change options, configure a profile, and choose a game mode is ridiculously messy (ditto for the "getting started" resources like the manual and tutorial). Seems like they didn't put much effort into it. And a glaring omission: you can't play in "career" mode with multiple players -- instead, you have to do practice games that don't earn you any experience points.
[Anonymous] gave it a10:
This game in combination with the Motionplus controller is probably as close as you can get to real golf. I used to play golf a few years ago and found that in the game, the strength I had in real life are my strengths and the weaknesses I had in real life are still my weaknesses. I think the graphics of the game are surprisingly good for the Wii. The interface could do with some minor improvements, but what really counts is the gameplay, and that works perfectly.
Tyler R gave it a10:
best sports game i've ever played. contends for best wii game. motionplus works. the putting on precision putting is very similar to real life putting. i played the game for a couple hours and went out and played a real life round following; the putting is very well accomplished by EA.
Joel C gave it a10:
Wow what a game! With the M+ I get pretty addicted to this game. Graphics are decent for Wii, but I still feel like I'm actually there, thanks to the controls. Everything I do is acurately recreated in the game. The player on-screen that I created, becomes me. You really just have to try it! Only downside, my arms are hurting because I don't have the most fluid swing in the world. Also, as others stated, this game is worth it almost just for the disc golf! Get it now, if you have a Wii, and make sure to get the M+ mmmm k?
RC R gave it a10:
Unbelievably great, natural control with the Wii MotionPlus. I can finally forget about arcade-y meters and focus soley on swing mechanics to get the shot I need. It's virtual golf!
