[WiiWare] Draw your revolver to see if you're the fastest gun in the West. Adjust your speed and precision as targets or enemies appear in front of you. Point and shoot to earn more points. You can aim at anything, so be sure to explore the environment for elements that will earn you more shooting points. Identify your enemies among the characters you encounter, but don't shoot at innocent citizens. Take part in an Old West-style train attack, or challenge your skills in a variety of increasingly difficult shooting challenges in other beautiful, classic and lively Western environments. As you progress through challenges, you'll earn medals and rewards, making for nonstop, addictive action. Play in a two-player multiplayer mode where you and your partner can combine points, or play against each other to find out who's the fastest gun in the West. [Gameloft]

Official Nintendo Magazine UK
If only it had online high-score tables and a few more stages, we might have given it a Gold Award. [Oct 2008, p.96]
75
Games Master UK
Not dissimilar to "Point Blank" and, likewise, better in small blasts. [Nov 2008, p.85]
70
n-Revolution Magazine UK
The visuals are decent and the shooting’s precise, but it’s just too short.

WiiWare World
Gameloft has crafted an addictive and attractive game with enough gameplay to keep you coming back for short blasts every once in a while, but there's not really enough meat on the bones to hold your attention for prolonged play sessions.

IGN
If you love games like Crossbow Training and you don't mind shelling out $10 for an hour of genuine gameplay, give Wild West Guns a shot. For everybody else, holster your weapon and move on.

My Gamer
Looking past the lack of options, Wild West Guns has an entertaining core.

NGamer UK
Neither bad nor ugly, but reasonably good. [Nov 2008, p.73]

Considering the production values and repetition, Wild West Guns is probably pushing it with a $10 price point, but for those looking to swap their virtual crossbow for a slightly less-enticing six-gun, this throwback shooter very nearly justifies the investment.

Cheat Code Central
Though the presentation is tight, the gameplay is quite dated and repetitive, and at $10 (and 300 blocks of Wii memory) it's no bargain.

EuroGamer
There's an inherent appeal in shooting targets that never seems to dim, but Wild West Guns is far too content to let that natural amusement carry the load for its own tepid design.

Link’s Crossbow training and Ghost Squad offer more in-depth gameplay and more fun for a similar price.

Wild West Guns is best looked at as perhaps a good first attempt. It has good settings and sound to suck you in to the Wild West theme, but the actual gameplay just falls short. The controls are great and responsive, but the game itself is just too repetitive and gets boring quickly. If more variety had been added then perhaps a higher score could have been given.
