Play Magazine
Creating a gamer's game through and through, Traveller's Tales has delivered a 60 fps cartoon epic without sacrificing expanse, dwarfing boss encounters or vivid effects by skillfully balancing model and environment integrity with performance. [Oct 2004, p.69]
Game Chronicles
The gameplay is totally original, totally challenging, and totally fun. A definite addition for anyone who enjoys platform games.

I really like how the different characters are voiced, and the individual casting is spot on.

It's not in the same league as the infamous plumber, and the partner/weapon gimmick isn't new (Whiplash - Issue 27, 8.1 - did it before), but it's a sturdy exercise in comic gaming. We'll even forgive the fact it's ginger. [Official UK Xbox Magazine]

Splendid stage architecture, superb puzzle planning, and, yes, even the odd snide remark give it way more charm than most competitors. Despite limited replay value and slight conceptual deja vu, the title will entertain all age groups.

I was pleasantly surprised by what I found here. When it wasn't kicking my head in for little to no reason, Twinsanity's a fun and funny game that's well worth a few hours of your time.

Publisher Vivendi Universal and developer Traveller's Tales have infused so much humor and likeability into the game that you will literally laugh out loud. You'll look forward to defeating each boss not just because you're that much closer to beating the game, but to witness some of the best in-game dialogue and funniest voice acting around.

This is by far the funniest Bandicoot game that I have ever played.

This game is funny, fun to play, and is a definite improvement on the claustrophobic linear levels of games past.

Great fun for our gaming youth and a humorous piece of nostalgia for veterans keen to spank their bandicoots, one last time.

Rises above the game’s original roots to bring a game that’s both refreshingly humorous as well as downright enjoyable.

One of the best Crash titles to have been released since its earliest inception on home consoles, and it’s creative use of combining past enemies as partners is what gives Twinsanity a new lease on life.

It's a little rough around the edges, and it doesn't break new ground for 3D platformers, but it gives the series the shot in the arm that Wrath of Cortex failed to, and what it does, it does pretty well.

What does garner a lot of attention in this game are the visuals. The graphics are cool and very polished.

Even if you're frustrated by dying on a jump for the 50th time, you'll still think it's funny as hell. [Dec 2004, p.73]
GamerFeed
It would've been nice to see more mutliplayer options and maybe a camera that works like it's supposed to, but it's a quality adventure that should keep you hooked for hours. It's not a major comeback, but it's a step up from the monotony the series has fallen into.

Far from fresh or innovative, it's still a fun title to keep the kids happy or blow a rainy day playing.

A small section of gamers could well find Crash: Twin Sanity not quite offering enough new ideas to please but the majority will probably find this the perfect mix of all that is best with the platforming/action genre, especially the diversity in graphic sets, which must be applauded, along with the mesmerising sound effects and in game animations that move the game along!

There's also a nasty glitch I should warn you about, be sure to keep your hands off the controller during cutscenes, or you stand a good chance of coming out of them having just walked off into an enemy or bottomless pit.

Sure the character combination of Crash and Cortex is different and the humour makes for a welcome change, but aside from that the game is still very familiar and hasn’t even evolved nearly as much as it should have.

A good platformer buoyed by some interesting gameplay concepts and hindered by certain design flaws.

The puzzles are clever and the variety is terrific, but it can be too tough and frustrating, particularly for the young audience the game would otherwise appeal to.

While it pains me to say this, maybe Crash should make like the entire cast of "Blossom" and disappear. [Nov 2004, p.146]
Gaming Age
It doesn't do anything we've never seen before, but what it does do is usually done well.

The music rocks. It’s a combination of jungle, pop and a barbershop quartet and is thoroughly weird and catchy. The quirky approach to the composition helps give the game its attitude.

It is definitely the best Crash-starring game to come along in a long, long while, but in comparison to today’s top platformers Crash Twinsanity can’t compete in any way, shape, or form.

Completely and utterly relentless...It's totally unforgiving... For devotees and masochists only.

Funny writing (courtesy of an ex-"Ren & Stimpy" scribe) can't save this uninspired rehash of antiquated Crash antics with lackluster visuals. [Dec 2004, p.170]
Xbox Nation Magazine
That bane of the 3D platformer, a bad camera, constantly hides fallen-away floors until you're standing where you thought there was solid ground. [Nov 2004, p.90]
TotalGames.net
To make matters worse if this had been released back in the day when linear gameplay and generic platform problems were acceptable Twinsanity would've still been average. Today there is nothing redeeming.

Jack B. gave it an8:
This was probably one of the best Crash Bandicoot games made since the PS1. It was very fun playing as Cortex, Nina was a cool character, the villians were unique and fun, and the levels were fun but challenging. But the graphics were rough around the edges.
[Anonymous] gave it an8:
This game is probably one of the best Crash Bandicoot games created since "Crash Bash". It was fun playing as Cortex, and Nina was a cool character. The cutscenes were well done, and the bosses were creative, but the gameplay's graphics were rough around the edges.
Buried-In-The-Box gave it a 6:
Why are stupid games like this made on XBOX in the first place? Old PS1 games with Nintendo style kiddy gameplay should not be put on the system that was made with adults in mind. Same boring gameplay from years upon years ago with PS2 graphics, which isn't very good incase an explanation was needed there. These kind of games need to be left on Nintendo's baby box. Period.
Uter gave it a 6:
The comedy here is great, but the actual gameplay is a bit blah.
Gamegriller gave it a 5:
This has game mechanics of a ps1 game of seven years ago in three dimensions with cheap deaths and bad cameras. cleverness abounds, but so does frustration.
Game freak gave it an 8:
Pretty good game.
