Golf: Tee It Up! loses points for its minimalist approach (only 2 courses and limited character customization doesn't help) but because it still has a full-game-for-the-price-of-an-arcade-game feel, attractive visuals, and holds the promise of more downloadable content in the future, it's a great value.

It may not be as varied or as crazy as some might have liked, but the two courses and smack talk that can come out of the action that transpires is great fun for all involved.

Golf: Tee it up really is fantastic value for money, you don't even really need to be a golf fan to play because it's very simple to pick up and very enjoyable.

When it comes right down to it Tee It Up is an extremely bare bones release.

A surprisingly fun golf title, especially with it being an XBLA release. With its customizable characters and easy to jump into gameplay, Golf: Tee It Up! is a great casual entry in any golf fan's 360 library.

There's not a lot wrong here, but then there's not much here to get wrong. [Oct 2008, p.84]
X360 Magazine UK
It's reassuringly simple fare. [Issue#36, p.115]

Golf: Tee it Up on Xbox Live Arcade is a fun game which certainly deserves your attention. Although it only boasts two environments with eighteen holes each, the great playability and fun will make you come back for more. If you like golf, you should definitely give it a try.

Golf: Tee It Up! may not have a better name than "3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures," but it's a much better game. It plays a good game of golf, for one thing, and does so with the mixture of depth and accessibility that we hope for in all Live Arcade titles.

Golf: Tee It Up! is an XBLA worth getting your hands on, and at 800 MS points, will provide a reasonable bang for your buck.

Golf: Tee It Up! offers respectable arcade gameplay and slick production values.

The game is fun in short bursts, but won't hold your attention for too long. [July 2008, p.66]

While I ultimately had fun with Golf: Tee It Up! it just seemed that it required too much effort to enjoy.

Not the hole-in-one you've been hoping for. [Sept 2008, p.92]

Genre enthusiasts, beware: Golf: Tee it Up! hits the basics of the sport, but it lacks both the necessary finesse and panache to match up against the pros.

A totally competent golf game which ultimately does too much wrong and to little right. [Sept 2008, p.97]

MAT V gave it a9:
Easy and addictive. Nice graphics, excelent holes designs and good gameplay with an arcade touch very fun. The downloable desert course is hard but funny. The only one thing is that only has 2 courses in the game, the third one you have to pay to get it.
