Summary
[Xbox Live Arcade] UNO RUSH is a four-player, social party game that's easy to jump into, but hard to leave because you'll have so much fun playing. Sort your cards (even off-turn) so you can play them sequentially when it is your turn. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round, and scores points based on the remaining cards in opponents' hands. This fast-paced, family-friendly game is sure to become a hit with you and your friends. Full support: Full avatar, LIVE Party Chat, Xbox LIVE Vision camera, and Big Button Pad support is provided. Multiplayer action: It's couch play for the whole family, with up to four players per console, and full guest support for multiple users per console over Xbox LIVE. Exciting UNO-style gameplay: Several special command cards affect different aspects of the game, including skipping the next player's turn, reversing the direction of play, changing the color of the discard pile, scrambling the next player's hand, or making the next player draw two or four cards. The difficulty arises from the speed at which card arrangement this needs to be done. You’ll literally have seconds to anticipate what numeral/color will be thrown down before your turn and to arrange your cards in a logical order. This involves not only thinking very quickly, but also having pretty sharp hand dexterity since fast controller inputs are mandatory for said sorting purposes.

It takes the basic framework and turns it upside down, ripping out the casual appeal and replacing it with fast-paced competitive gameplay. Though not for anyone who gets flustered under pressure, Uno Rush is a great addition to the Xbox Live Marketplace, and a must buy for fans of competitive action.

If you think sorting seven cards in a matter of seconds is hard, well that’s because it is. The game most likely won’t appeal to UNO’s broad casual audience like before, but the game definitely will bring Microsoft’s hardcore crowd calling. For only 800 MS points, around 10 dollars, you’re getting a brand new take on the UNO franchise.

UNO Rush is a new take on the traditional UNO concept. Making the game faster and more intense will definitely appeal to some players who found the original too slow. A well rounded and well made title that is sure to be enjoyed by many, though the fast paced gameplay won't suit all players and all skill levels.

UNO RUSH is a great LIVE Arcade title. While some may be initially discouraged by the title's frenetic pace and seemingly unforgiving controls, once you get the hang of things, you'll never want to let go!

Console Monster
Overall, UNO Rush is a worthy sequel to UNO. Despite some of the changes taking a bit of time to get used to, give the title a chance and you’ll fall in love, just like you did before.

Ultimately, the length of time you spend with Uno Rush is pretty dependent on how cool you are under pressure. If the thought of a fast-paced multiplayer card game where you have to keep one eye on your cards and the other eye on three other hands excites you, chances are you'll have a great time.

Almost everything about Uno Rush is an upgrade from the original. The problem is, unless you can't put down the Uno and are craving more, Uno Rush's upgrades are probably not worth another $10.

UNO Rush is a very entertaining, and fast paced card game that gives a nice little twist to the first Uno. The game demands little thinking and relies more on the sleight of hand, but will undoubtedly gets you playing for hours.

Uno Rush is a fun, frantic way to experience everyone’s favorite kitchen table card game. But the controls just don’t quite provide the flexibility needed to make the experience great.

If you've got the original, keep your virtual wallet firmly shut. If you haven't, just buy the original Uno. [Issue#46, p.101]
