Summary
[Xbox Live Arcade] Discover the ancient secrets of Zuma Deluxe! Deep in the jungle lie hidden temples bursting with traps and trickery. It will take a quick hand and a sharp eye to unlock their treasures. Explore more than 20 realms in Adventure mode and put your skills to the test in the Gauntlet. Fire magical balls from the stone frog idol to make color matches, then collect coins and powerups to clear the path. But watch out! If the stream of spheres reaches the golden skull, it'll be the end for you! [Xbox.com]

WHAM! Gaming
It’s unfortunate that the Xbox controller can’t possibly be as accurate as a mouse (this game originally was released for PC a few years back) but you actually get used to it quickly enough.

800 points seems a bit much for a puzzle game, but when it's one as unique, clever and original (hey, we're not in Japan, we don't know what a Puzzloop is!) as Zuma Deluxe then it's very much worth it.

Zuma is another Xbox Live Arcade game that is highly recommended. It’s only $10, and you’ll make that back quickly with the amount of time you spend with it.

Zuma is a well rounded experience, but it does have a few flaws that could be improved upon. The first down side to Zuma is the lack of multiplayer over Xbox Live, or why not even a four player Zuma?

It will delight and challenge both young and old alike with its bright colors, enchanting music, and addictive gameplay.

The difficulty curve is steep, but you probably won't even notice how hard the game has become until you realise you haven't blinked for three minutes. [Issue #16, p.78]
Games Radar (in-house)
It's a bit of a bummer that Zuma is single-player-only: I would've loved to go head-to-head with a buddy over Xbox Live. But the game still packs plenty of thrills into a tiny package.

Anyone who loves "Bust-A-Move" will enjoy this aztec-themed variation in which your stationary frog idol fires different-colored stones into a revolving chain. [Jun 2006, p.64]
Xbox Evolved
Zuma Deluxe is a enjoyable and hearty title, and the perfect time killer.

It’s without doubt a unique experience. My only true complaint is the ten dollar price tag, which may be a bit steep for the subtle amount of content provided with the purchase.

The stages get progressively more challenging as more-complex layouts and additional ball colors are introduced, and while the underlying gameplay really doesn't change much, it's still an engaging way to pass the time.

This game proves the argument that game play is more important than graphics. The addictive nature of this fast, action puzzle shooter will make sure you come back time and time again to break up those long sessions on any other 360 title.

A hugely addictive addition to the Live Arcade scene, but very much a completist's game for the lone puzzler.

Sooner or later you're going to be angered by options you can see but can't actually play. [Issue#23, p.97]
